Call
Through individual psychotherapy, I can help you improve your relationships with others in your life, stabilize your moods and cope with anxieties and worries. If you and your partner are struggling to communicate with each other, having problems with romance and intimacy or even dealing with an affair, by engaging in couples therapy I can help the two of you refocus yourselves back onto improving your relationship.

Struggling with relationship problems including arguing, conflict, breaking-up, separation, affairs or lack of intimacy. If so, clinical psychologist, Dr. Michael Heitt, can help you better understand and conquer these difficulties. I bring decades of experience working in a variety of settings and with a variety of people to my clinical practice.
Services
I provide individual and couples psychotherapy and diagnostic assessment services to a diverse patient population. Trained as a clinical psychologist, I assist people who are facing significant life transitions and changes, have experienced trauma or loss, or are dealing with psychiatric illnesses, such as depression and anxiety.
People often use a variety of different terms when referring to Individual Psychotherapy. For example some people call it counseling, therapy, individual therapy and even coaching. In reality the similarities between these terms are far greater than any differences. The central and most important component of individual psychotherapy is the therapeutic relationship between the psychologist and his patient.
Like "individual psychotherapy, " Couples Psychotherapy is often called couples counseling, couples therapy, marital counseling, marital therapy or relationship enhancement. Regardless of whether you and your partner are married or otherwise partnered, gay or straight, of similar or different ethnicities, religions or backgrounds, the process is the same.
Because the average American spends about a third of their life at work, we should strive to have healthy relationships with our careers and the people with whom we work. I specialize in working with professionals who are experiencing difficulties with their work. Many professionals struggle with work relationships, dealing with difficult colleagues or abusive bosses.
In addition to my general clinical and consultative work, I also specialize in working with physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers, physical therapists, acupuncturists and other licensed healthcare professionals who, for a variety of reasons, may be experiencing difficulties in their professional environment.
