Services
The Kentucky Wildlife Center began in 2006, in one room of Founder and President, Karen Bailey's house. In 2014, the center expanded into an abandoned garden center on Leestown Road. Since that time, we have continued to grow, and our determination to help Kentucky native wildlife, to provide community outreach, and to assist other wildlife rehabilitators has become central to our motivation.
In your email please give us details on what animals may or may not be released on your property. Let us know if you would be willing to put out food, of which we would provide, until the animal is adjusted to their new home. Sign up to volunteer at the Kentucky Wildlife Center for a rewarding and educational experience.

DO NOT TAKE ANIMALS HERE!!!!! I don't normally comment but I wanted everyone to know that Kentucky Wildlife Center is a REGISTERED RESEARCH FACILITY. I seen on the news that they fired a bunch of people who refused to euthanize animals for the Owner who has been dissecting them for her thesis project. Apparently its not illegal to do in KY. Truly a disgusting person. I almost vomited just listening to the news story. There is a few other places you can go in the area but please don't take your wild babies to this place!!

We rescued 2 baby squirrels (2 weeks old?). One squirrel was constipated this morning and we couldn't help it. My wife called Kentucky Wildlife Center and she was told to bring both squirrels in and that they would treat the one (at no charge) and give them both back to us. (We didn't ask if we could keep them.)
I came by (alone) with the two squirrels and they took them and said that we (civilians) couldn't care for them. I could understand that if we weren't lied to/deceived.
Now we're dealing with crying kids that are devastated because they didn't get a chance to say goodbye. How cruel.

They let me take in an injured baby bird. The people were seriously so nice. Also, let me just say I’m OBSESSED with the welcoming cat. She was the sweetest and most precious cat. Thank you for taking in the injured bird! And thanks for all you do!!

Very helpful and quick to respond but I did find out there's a need for bird rehabbers in northern Kentucky and I'm checking into what it takes to become one myself

Excellent place and friendly people doing a wonderful service. There's no sign on the road so you have to trust GPS. Same driveway as the equine doctor, I think.

I was here once a long long time ago, I was in kindergarten. It was so amazing being there. Although, I do remember seeing a brown bear and an eagle somewhere, I'm not sure if it was here or elsewhere but then again, that was a double field trip. Still though, it was super fun from what I can remember! lol

Iv met all the staff and even President Karen! all of them are amazing people with the exception of 1 but I wont do names.
they are dedicated people who know what there doing and are there to help and in the event of them being full they can help you find someone who can.
just remember they don't control the people they suggest so if they are rude don't blame the center.

Wonderful place and highly informative and educational. The first 'Greeter' was a wonderful friendly and affectionate cat. They took time to teach me on the amazing variety of wildlife coming into the center for help and rehab.
