Hyosu Kim is a California licensed acupuncturist and licensed Korean/Oriental Medicine Doctor. He received his 6 years degree from Kyunghee University in Seoul, South Korea, the most prestigious academic institute of Korean/Oriental medicine. He is a certified member of The Association of the Spine and Joint Korean Medicine.
Acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Korean/Chinese Medicine. It dates back thousands of years. That is not to say that it is out-dated and irrelevant to modern people. If it were, it would no longer exist. As a matter of fact, the efficacy of it has been evaluated in several systematic reviews, showing positive results.
Cupping is used to treat acute and chronic pain, ease scar tissue deep within muscles and connective tissues, and reduce swelling and muscle knots. It involves briefly attaching rounded inverted cups to certain parts of the body using a vacuum effect. The pressure that the cups create draws blood to the affected area.

This is my first time ever getting acupuncture and I'm glad I came here! I can tell this is more of a professional kind of acupuncture as Dr. Hyosu Kim is very knowledgeable in what he does and knows a lot about the medical field. He is very nice and I was nervous to have a male doctor as I usually prefer women and have had bad experiences with males in the medical field but Dr. Hyosu Kim is very considerate and cautious of the patient's needs and is very professional and has made me feel comfortable and safe with him. I have 2 Herniated disk in my lower back and I about gave up on pain relief. Came here very sceptical about acupuncture. But here service was very professional and friendly and now keeps functioning in my every day very busy life. For anybody that dont believe, just try it and you will see it really works. Awesome acupuncture clinic. Dr. Kim is knowledgable, kind, and professional. In fact, he has graduated from one of the most prestigious acupuncture programs in South Korea. My allergies get pretty bad during this season, but after seeing Dr. Kim my allergies have significantly improved. Great clinic and would highly recommend checking it out.

5 plus stars!! This is my first visit today and I already like it. I don't usually write a review but Dr. Kim was so great and gentle. He is so nice,knowledgeable and professional. First time I had cupping and its not that painful as I expected. The needle was not bad either. Facility is clean and looks comfy. For now, thats all I can say since its my first visit.

This was my first time getting acupuncture, but Dr. Kim put me at ease! Was very patient. Also did cupping. I hurt my neck/shoulder in an accident a little over a year ago and when I work out the pain flares back up! His treatments de-stress me and make the pain and discomfort go away, so I can hit the gym again the next day! Highly recommend!!

Dr. Kim is very good! My pain has gone down significantly. The place is located in the same chiropractor clinic I've gone to for the past two tears. He takes insurance. Also, he is very personable amd understanding since it was my first time getting acupuncture for a specific ailment. I would recommend checking this business out.

I was unfamiliar with acupuncture until very recently. I've had ongoing back issues after a severe car accident in which I was a passenger. That was thirty-seven years ago. After years of "traditional Western" medicine, a colleague of mine convinced me to try acupuncture. I have to admit that the idea seemed a bit like "snake oil" remedies referenced from the early 1900s.
