The website is not helpful at all. I have been searching for 20 minutes on how to sign up for insurance and there is nothing. This is my first time signing up. It is Dec 16th now and I am not sure if I will still have health insurance. How is there no instructions on the website for company that is nationwide?

If I could leave a zero star review I would - absolutely a complete joke. Called to triple check that an urgent care was in-network after using their system to find the facility, only to be billed out-of-network for 100% of the lab work because they didn't cover that lab and I didn't ask specifically if that lab was covered. Absolutely horrible. Our company has since switched insurance providers.

Have paid no claims since we got this insurance when we moved at the end of July. They kept saying we had our former insurance and we did not. Delay tactic after delay tactic. It is almost like we do not have insurance although on paper we do. Hard to believe but Kaiser is much better than this. This is the worst insurance we have ever had. I actually had to file a claim with state and they sent a letter to them. Bad ethics, bad management

If I could give zero stars I would. Seriously the worst insurance we've ever had. Super high premiums, super high deductibles and copays... often more expensive than if we just paid out of pocket. And, their quotes never match our bills... we are always getting "surprise" bills from things they denied or won't cover. Shop around for something better... we will be doing that ASAP.

Customer service is horrible . They never have supplied appropriate case management . Finally after a month waiting and being abused by oxygen company I got a useless one ! They refuse to take a grievance not a complaint! Big difference with Medicare . I have been suffering with old tubing and no way to get out of house even they have been paying oxygen company for unlimited supplies ! 4 yrs ago I was approved for a powerchair and again screwed me . In the area I lived it was only choice . 31/2 yrs later finally they helped . They just don't care !

Before you go and waste your hard earned money with this company thinking everything is going to be ok I don't suggest it at all. I'm writing this at 4am as I'm comforting my wife that has terrible back/sciatica pain, the reason the insurance was even purchased in the first place, she had been going to physical therapy and doing quite well until Regence decided to deny any further visits. Who do they think they are? I'm paying over $1,300 a month to these people and they have the nerve to deny treatment?? They are USELESS.

Apart from taking about two months to approve or deny a treatment, I never had an issue with these guys. Which, after my work switched insurance companies, I learned was a huge timesaver, less stressful, and I didn’t have anger issues. So thanks for a good first year of buying my own insurance. Miss you guys

If I could I would give them a zero they are the worst insurance. My wife had to go to the hospital to give birth to my kid and got the hospital bill shortly later and insurance hardly paid anything and according to their plan they are supposed to pay more so I called and they said give us a week and we will see what we can do I call a week later they said they need 4 Weeks before they can see what they can do. They are a waist of your time and business dont do insurance with them its more of a pain trying to get them to cover anything.

I have never dealt with a company that has so many issues. I don't know where to begin. Save yourself a lot of time and stress by going with another insurance company. They have issues ranging from payment/billing delays really long delays, small print contractual issues, to receiving different information from employees. All of these issues cause major financial burden on the customer and the customer is already paying a large monthly fee for having health insurance in the first place. I would give zero stars if I could.

Eight weeks ago the cartilage in my knee gave out. My knee expanded to the size of a large grapefruit and walking normally became impossible. For two months, my doctor has tried to have me pre-authorized for surgery and we have been denied twice. I live in chronic pain, I can't walk without a cane or crutches, I can't sleep, and I can't take OTC pain meds because they are shredding my stomach. But according Regence BCBS minions Evicor, surgery is not medically necessary. It's better that I spend thousands on physical therapy that does nothing and continue damaging my body by falling or stumbling

I wish you could give negative stars. Regence is a joke. They are super shady and greedy. They have proceeded to go back through old claims completely unrelated trying to find reasons to take back payments they have already made. Also their "appeal process" is a sham. They literally have no intention on reading information provided objectively or changing anything and they know it. All the while pretending like they care and are going to actually investigate your claim. Why are people paying such high premiums for nothing??? What's the point in having insurance??? What's next

Hi i had to cancel an appointment i had scheduled for 6 months because it has been over 3 weeks since Open Enrollment and they have not sent my ID cards nor can they find me in their system. I love that we get to use this wonderful insurance system instead of having a public health program like the rest of the world.
I'm sure this review won't matter because I'm not really the insurance customer, my employer is. I am simply forced to use whatever company they tell me to or go bankrupt from medical bills, but it brings me a tiny little bit of joy to see their star rating drop ever so slightly because

I have been on the phone with them for an hour, with them hanging up on me twice. I was told I met my deductible, and then the next month I'm told I haven't. Now I have to come up with $300 extra dollars out of the blue for a medication that keeps me alive and should only cost $30. They don't know how to fix a problem, but are great at talking down to their costumers by constantly apologizing and doing nothing about their systems mistake. I pay way too much in insurance for this kind of poor service. If you can get another agency, I would and run far away from Blue Cross Blue Shield.

If I could leave zero stars I would. Everyone at my company is having issues with claims being denied. Basic claims!
Regence denied my claim for vitamin D blood work. Stating it was not medically necessary. A couple things wrong with this.
Don't forget, you're an insurance company, it is not your job to tell me nor my doctor what is needed for me and my health. I have NEVER been denied blood work. I get blood work done every 3 months due to medical reasons. If I run low on D, I get very sick, therefore I must be tested often. My doctor sent a letter as to why it was needed and they

We are Regence Medicare Advantage which was a great plan 5 years ago. We are in Portland. Regence has gone head to head with Providence who is the premier provider in our area. Regence backed out of all affiliation with Providence so now are left with the dregs of providers in Portland. I don't mean to cast a wide net because there is still the Oregon Clinic and Portland Clinic who are independents. But now the affiliation is with Legacy (that is Good Sam/Adventists/and a reluctant OHSU including Meridian Park and pathetic Tuality.. ) Your best interests are not their priority.

Over a year of working with Regence, I found them to be immoral, dishonest and manipulative. Did you know you can request recordings of every call you make to Regence? I have recordings of executives telling me on the phone that my claims should be paid, yet later I receive a letter declining my claims. I was actually yelled at by one executive, he was bullying me. I nicely asked him to stop bullying me, he hung up on me! The recordings make me want to laugh, except they also make me want to cry.
Until fighting the Regence nightmare for a year I was not a fan of government run health care

I would give them a negative rating of I could. Worst customer service ever!!! I tried talking with them twice this week. Intentionally vague and condescending with all my questions. Refused to even tell me in network providers. Told me I had to look it up myself. Even with my $3000 deductible that I never reach, they insisted that I go through insurance on everything. Even though I get a better rate paying cash. No information on any cost of common procedures. They are horribly unhelpful and unfriendly.

Regence claims to be non-profit, and they talk nice on the phone, but they don't authorize or pay claims on time and they are dishonest.
The person Michelle N. below, who falsely claims that those of us who complain about Regence's bad actions are just dummies who don't understand our health insurance policy, is likely a shill who works for Regence, as are the people who "liked" her review. You can't trust Regence.

They backed out of Washington state and canceled individual plans. All they did was send out a letter. No calls or emails. Just found out I don't have coverage by going to the Dr office.
This company has provided me with no benefits. The worst customer experience of my life.
I think this company is run by cowards and I hope it fails and I hope is kicked out of WA State.

As a patient, I felt they were fair, if slow to respond & difficult to contact (find an insurance company that isn't.)
As a provider, I am very seriously considering refusing to accept patients with Regence coverage.
They insist on electronic billing, but their system is riddled with errors and bugs. I have claims I have been submitting repeatedly since 2016 that are still not paid -- and now would be denied due to "not filing in a timely fashion." I can document that they were sent in 2016, but I will have to contact Provider Services to get any action on this. As a secondary

I was told regence refused to pay 3emergency room visits and now my bill is 1.3 million dollars. This is not a joke or scam. Our family is devastated and my life is over. Horrible.
I don't know what to do. I am 65years old and will go to prison. Again no joke. This happened in Covington wa multicare. Of course how can Multicare emergency cost so much. They are nothing but corporate greed. Instead of saving lives they aretaking mine, and my family. Prison is a fate worse than death..

My experience with Regence has been awful this year. paid $650 for a knee brace that Regence covered about $200 of because of my deductible and co insurance leaving me with a $380 med device bill. Could have bought the brace myself for $200. Was never given the "cash price" until after the fact. Had my daughter diagnosed by an Orthopedic Surgeon with a torn ACL. Scheduled surgery and was denied approval because we did not get a $1500 MRI (again only partially covered). Fighting with them now on this issue.

Terrible insurance plans, reimbursement process, and handling of bills. I wish my employer could get a new insurance company because Regence BlueShield is awful.
10+ reviews and everyone gives them 1 star. Enough said...
But if you want to hear just how bad this company is, read on.
They are hurting our credit because their process for claims is broken and they blame the providers for everything. We had one bill go to them and they said we had not met our deductible so they just threw it in the trash. We never heard about it and now its on our credit report... We luckily tracked down the provider
