37 of us enjoyed time at Chetco River Inn last week. Our favorite things: THE RIVER, The Kitchen and the Common Areas.
There was plenty of room for everyone.... well, we did have 3 tents pitched where some of the teenagers slept and Mom and Dad had the Rock House to themselves.
We played soooooo many board games. Some we brought and some that were there already.
There is plenty of outdoor seating on the deck and patio, around the fire pit.!!!
The river is just a syndrome throw away, literally. Just a short......
Oh wait! The Salamanders!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness. They're everywhere, easy to catch

Was spacious enough for our large family reunion. Very cool place. Swam in the river, ate some of the produce from their garden. Loved the getaway.

Absolutely gorgeous grounds! 38 acres of pristine riverfront with great vistas and trails. Unfortunately, during the time we were there, both the main house and rock house had a rodent infestation. People in every bedroom heard them at night. Lots of wildlife to see, fish, newts, frogs, snakes, and bats (19+ in the carport). The kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of eating & entertaining space for large groups. However, the inside was dated and kind of grungy.

Critical: Quality
Uncomfortable bedding, leaky faucet in upstairs bathroom, loud rodents in wall at night. Electricity went out multiple times.

This was the most epic place for our honeymoon! The caretakers Ann and Tony were so wonderfully hospitable. We stayed in the Rockhouse and were completely off grid with the comforts of home. We were able to just sit and talk without city distractions. The river is beautiful and not too cold, just right for swimming and sunbathing. We will definitely return and will recommend to anyone looking to completely unwind and energize the soul!

A secret retreat -almost too good to share! Beautiful location 18 miles up the Chetco River from the coast. The water is spectacular and the location is peaceful. The Inn has everything you could need. A great place to unplug -literally (off the grid with no cell service!). comfortably housed our 10 family members with room to spare. we were on the river daily, rain or shine in June. Really unexpected to have such comfort and amenity in such a remote location with private riverfront access. we'll be back.

This is a hidden treasure! Our family absolutely loved the grounds, everything from the easy access to the river and gorgeous beaches, to the little garden and charming bedrooms. Everyone from 3 years old to 70 years old had a wonderful time. Thank you Chetco River Inn for unforgettable family memories.

What a slice of paradise! The river was perfect swimming temp and the land and house were well stocked. Caretaker was really easy going and it's hard to imagine a more private and beautiful place to stay. Up river about 200 yards is a river playground with rocks to jump from, small rapids to shoot, and a deep blue swimming hole. It doesn't get better than this place!

From the rave reviews of the Chetco River Inn given by Ms Rizzi (rice) and Ms Ross, I intend to visit it next year on my yearly trek to the Brookings environs. The hogs are a nice touch and a big draw too, I'll bet.

It was a wonderful weekend. I love the Chetco and staying right on it was such a treat. Everything was perfect. I even took my two whippets and it was great for them. I do not usually travel with them. Water was cold at the end of May - just barely swimmable!!

Had an amazing week with our family at the Chetco River Inn. We went during the summer with the kids and had a fabulous time relaxing on the property. The weather was perfect, in the 80's and the river was so refreshing. The kids loved playing at the "beach" in front of the lodge, and we had so much fun floating down the river together. The gardens were so beautiful, perfect for our lunches and nap time! Can't wait to go back!
