Julia Lee Performing Arts Academy is a tuition-free, public school. As a charter school, we have the flexibility to be more innovative while still being held accountable for student achievement. Our goal is to develop students academically, artistically, and socially with a curriculum that integrates both the performing arts and college-preparatory academics.

We are a public charter school serving students of Lake Elsinore and surrounding cities. Our founder, Tanya Lee-Taylor was inspired by her great aunt's (Julia Lee) musical success and her own desire to combine top-quality education with the arts. With the lead of our highly experienced principal, our caring staff is committed to providing a program that encourages student success.

Julia Lee Performing Arts Academy is a public school that provides instruction in a combination of grades (kindergarten through sixth grade). We follow the California Common Core State Standards (CA CCSS), CA Standards for History-Social Science, and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) in its core curricula.
Yes, all charter schools are public schools. Julia Lee Performing Arts Academy, is the first performing charter school here in Lake Elsinore, CA. The children will have the opportunity to learn: dancing, signing, music instruments, and theater arts. We are like other charter schools, a self-managed public school that is approved - or chartered - by a local school district.

This school is a joke . Both children that attended this school are now behind in most areas of education as well as socially. The professionalism or lack there of the staff, Should be addressed ASAP. The planning of the school year was and is a joke . So glad we left . I do not recommend this school at all.

My son has attended JLPAA since TK. The teachers and staff are amazing! This has been such a different and more positive experience than I’ve had with my other kids who attended public school. Even while we are doing on-line school, teachers and staff have been available to us! We not only have normal academic classes, but also music and dance thru the week.

Putting our daughter in Julia Lee was the best decision we’ve ever made for her education. The teachers are phenomenal, they always go above and beyond. If they notice an area of difficulty for your child, they communicate that with you right away and take steps to ensure success. My daughters test scores have gone up so much since starting at Julia Lee. Having performing arts has been a wonderful addition too. Between band, choir, dance and theater, there is always something to spark interest and creativity. It’s also so nice to have a front office staff who is friendly and helpful. The principal

My daughter transferred to Julia Lee Performing Arts two years ago and it was the best decision , we made for her . The school is pretty new but with a lot to offer . We met Second grade teacher Mrs Caro and 3rd grade teacher Megan Black , two wonderful and dedicated teachers that have a huge influence in my daughter’s life . Tania the founder and the school stuff are very approachable .... it’s always a welcome feeling . We have been blessed to meet you all .

This school is absolutely amazing! The principal is so kind and always available to talk. The teachers go above and beyond for all the students. The communication between teachers and parents is so fantastic. Never do you have to wonder how your child is doing in class. They let you know daily if they are having struggles and where they are excelling. The performing arts teachers are excellent. My daughter has learned so much about the arts this year and in return in thriving in other areas that she was struggling in before. I feel so blessed to have my child attend this school. The teachers and staff are so great! They really love what they do and they are so incredibly caring! My son now loves school since being enrolled here. His entire attitude has changed and I just couldn’t be more grateful. This is no doubt the best school. This schools rocks! Both my child and I are really excited for this school. She loves to dance and perform. This school in the city of Lake Elsinore is really a true gem. The staff is great, respectful, always smiling and really care for both the parents concerns, and children's needs. This is a charter school not a regular public school, meaning that your child will get that one-on-one special attention. Yes, they wear uniforms which that is always a plus so the child does not get bullied for wearing hand me downs. Come check it out it will only benefit your child in their development.
