A graduate of James Madison University, Anne Kibler relocated from Washington DC to the Charlottesville area in 2010 and honed her skills as a certified professional makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics. Since then, our team of ten (and growing!) makeup and hair artists has been blessed to become the premier provider of wedding hair and makeup services in Charlottesville and the surrounding areas.
Its immediate popularity had her featured on iTunes "New and Noteworthy" during its first month of production. Interested in taking a more hands on approach to sharing her secrets, Anne approached Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) about developing an accelerated Makeup Artistry track for students.

I had the best experience with Jordan and Devon on my wedding. I have very straight hair so I was worried about how well my hair would hold curls. Jordan curled my hair on Thursday for my rehearsal and it held up so well and did the same on Friday for my wedding! I was also so impressed at how natural my hair looked. I thought with all of the hair spray she’d use that my hair would look and feel crunchy but that wasn’t the case at all! My bridesmaids were also all so happy with their hair!

Devin and Hannah (apologies for potential misspelling) were incredible! Devin did makeup for my bridesmaids, Mom, and me. She did exactly what we requested and brought a calming presence to the room! She enhanced all our natural beauty, while still covering up imperfections and creating beautiful work. Hannah provided hair services for my bridesmaids and me. She is extremely talented in all types of wedding hair styles (e.g., updos, braids, curls, etc.). Smooth, excellent process from the point of contact to the trial to the wedding day. Anne was extremely responsive and very helpful when providing information about their services. I did my trial the Thursday before the wedding, which worked out really well! The hair and makeup artists did an amazing job bringing my vision to life and were really responsive to any requests I had. They were thorough and made our entire wedding party look so glamorous and beautiful. I would definitely recommend!

Everyone I was in contact with was fantastic! When I first was inquiring about booking with them, Anne went out of her way to help me multiple times. She was so nice, loving and incredibly helpful! She was fast and responding and answered any questions I had! The two girls that did my bridesmaids and I’s hair and makeup for my wedding were so good at what they do and so fun to be around. I would strongly recommend! I am so thankful for all they did and they were a DREAM to work with!

I hear a lot of brides say photography is the most important thing to them. If that's true for you too, then hair and makeup should be a close second. I thought I knew hair and makeup... It turns out I do not. I did my own hair and make-up for our engagement photos and there is no comparison--I look way better in our wedding photos and I got much less sleep the night before.
Anne and her team are experts in what they do and they know how to give you the look you want--even if you don't know how to describe it. They also know how to work with different skin tones which was especially important

I highly recommend Charlottesville Makeup Artist LLC because they were a major reason why my wedding day was so amazing!!! Anne is extremely attentive and responds so quickly to everything I needed throughout the entire hiring, quoting, trial and final wedding day process!! I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted for make-up but Anne was an amazing advocate for me and the end result was flawless. The women who did our hair and make-up on the day were on time, so fun to hang with and did excellent jobs. Again, I highly recommend because you will not be disappointed!!!! Felt nice and comfortable when getting the trial done. Area was beautifully decorated and well lighted with a laid back atmosphere. Makeup and hair were both done beautifully but relatively fast which was nice!… Both stylists were very helpful and receptive to feedback and wouldn’t leave until I loved it. I am so happy with my choice to go with Charlottesville Makeup Artists LLC and don’t feel anxious about how I am going to look on my wedding day because I know with their help I will look beautiful!

I had my trial last week and my wedding is on Sunday. The trial was in Anne's house, which is beautifully decorated and inviting. It felt more like I was visiting a friend's house versus a noisy, busy salon that can sometimes be stressful. Anne also sets up some music based on your preferences so you can kick back and relax.

I couldn't be happier with the makeup artist I had for my wedding & her work! All of my girls looked & felt their best, & she was very sweet & easy to work with. We had an outdoor wedding in August, & all of… our makeup lasted through sun, lots of sweat, food, & dancing. The owner, Anne, was one of the easiest vendors I worked with through my whole wedding planning process -- she was quick to respond & was super helpful. I can't say enough good things about Charlottesville Makeup Artist. From start to finish, their service was outstanding. They were sweet, attentive and professional at my trial, and they really took the time to tailor their work to my preferences. On the day of the wedding, my bridesmaids and I looked wonderful, and our hair and makeup lasted all… night. They did my hair first, and then I liked the bridesmaids' style even better, so they happily agreed to do mine over again. In the end I was thrilled with how everything looked. Well worth the money!

There are not enough words to describe how over the moon happy I am to have found Charlottesville Makeup Artist. Not only did they make the trail run easy and painless, they were there and ready to go on my wedding day. I just got married this past weekend and they were so easy going and friendly. From our very first phone call (which was 45 minutes long!), I could tell that Anne knows her stuff when it comes to wedding makeup. I had the BEST experience with Anne Kibler and Charlottesville Makeup Artist. She was very accommodating and was able to work with me to do the trial while I was in town for the weekend. She is so incredibly personable and works hard to make you look fantastic. Anne was such a great addition to my wedding day.
