Microblading is an advanced form of tattooing during which micro incisions are manually made in the form of strokes to appear as natural eyebrow hairs. Microblading is performed with a hand held device that has tiny, grouped, sharp pin needles, which form a blade. This tool is used in precise strokes to introduce pigment into the skin, and when used correctly by a skilled stylist, gives clients a beautiful full set of brows.
The technician uses either a manual tool or a tattoo gun to implant pigment more evenly over a larger area. This is basically the equivalent of adding powder or eyebrow pencil to the brows. By itself, using advanced blending, fading, and hair stroke techniques to create a beautiful soft and natural look.
Mari's passion for microblading and permanent makeup began with her first training in 2012 in Brazil and continued after she moved to the States in 2016. She originally went to school to study Culinary Arts, earning her degree as an Executive Chef. However, after several years in the restaurant industry in her home country, she wanted to be her own boss.
A strong topical anesthetic is applied to the skin before and during the procedure. In rare cases, some people may feel a bit of discomfort. If you have heard stories of severe pain, either the anesthetic was weak or it was not left long enough. This varies greatly from client to client, depending on various factors including but not limited to: skin type, aftercare, and daily skincare regimen, with a wide range of 1-2 years.
Because the procedure creates multiple tiny cuts that that need to heal effectively, keloid formation is possible in those with a history of it. Please be aware that if you already have permanently tatooed eyebrows, this will not be possible to cover completely and you must understand that final results may be compromised.

If you're on the fence about Mari, I would go for it!!
I came in without any real shape and really uneven brows. Mari initially mapped out my brows based off their natural shape / my face shape. Since my brows were so different, she would give me the option to choose a variety of different styles + would draw how they would look so I could visualize the difference, which I really appreciated. Since I wanted a flatter more Korean look, we adjusted the inner part of my brows to be less arched -- I can't thank her enough for her patience and advice on this step, it's clear she wants

When I walked through the door, I was put at ease by the atmosphere & Mari. She was so sweet from beginning to end. She explained every step & actually sat down and explained the aftercare to me as well. She took her time, was precise, & allowed me to approve the measurements. You can tell she takes pride in the work that she provides for her clients. I had questions days afterward, She was prompt and put me at ease. I am very satisfied with her service.

When I called for information, they were very helpful in explaining the process and my various options and I eventually settled on microblading with shading since I have almost no natural brow hair anymore. Then, during the visit, Mari was really nice and friendly and I could tell I was in good hands. I could not be happier with the results! they are so nice and natural! I finally have eyebrows again! Highly recommend!

I had done microblading before a few years ago and it was very painful and I was not very happy with the results, which lasted only a few months. A friend of mine had her brows done by Mari and suggested I give it another try. Night and day difference! Mari is a real professional and works with you to get the best design and procedure options (e.g. adding shading where needed). Her anesthetic is like magic; I felt nothing! I just had my follow up and am looking forward to having these beautiful brows every morning with no effort. Thanks Mari!

I visited several microblading places prior to booking a consultation with Mari and was still having trouble getting comfortable with taking the plunge! During the initial consultation with Mari, I was so comfortable and impressed that I decided to go ahead and have the procedure right then since her afternoon was open. I'm so glad I did! Totally pleased! MM's is a one girl salon, so you are working with an expert! I was so nervous that I'd come out looking Groucho Marx. Mari really worked with me to enter this world of having eyebrows without regret! I love them! Definitely suggest purchasing the 6 week touch-up.

Microblading and shading is on my FACE so I put in my due diligence in researching. Mari's incredible attention to perfection is artfully incredible! The private salon is comfy and clean. She uses every opportunity to provide a sterile but cozy environment. I was nervous at first but she eased my anxiety immediately. The effort she gives to obtain a naturally balanced measurement was beyond expected. I love my brows and they are so much better than what my realistic expectations were. Great experience! I was so afraid to get this done with all the horror stories you see when you Google microblading, so I decided to book just a consultation to visit first. Mari is a consummate professional. Her studio is spotless and she sterilizes everything. Her credentials and experience are impressive. During the consultation, I decided I wanted to go ahead with the procedure, and she managed to fit me in that same afternoon. After seeing some of the recent news stories about infections and botched results, I was really cautious in choosing who did my brows. I was impressed with Mari's knowledge about the whole process and also with the level of care she took in the initial design and the work. Her training and experience really show and she is a pleasure to work with. Also, everything was sterilized and packaged for my individual procedure, the cleanliness was immaculate, and the attention to contamination prevention was obvious.
