The Baldwin Law Firm has been serving Northern Virginia for over 40 years. The Baldwin Law Firm, LLC was founded by Roy Baldwin in 1976 to serve the legal needs of the diverse and growing communities in Northern Virginia. Over the years, our areas of practice have evolved as the needs of the community have changed. Today, we provide robust representation in family law, civil litigation, appellate litigation, and estate planning and litigation.
Firm founder Roy J. Baldwin, Esq. was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and a Juris Doctor from The George Washington University School of Law in Washington, D.C. He has lived in Virginia since 1975.

I posted this review for many years on Avvo to help inform others of my experience with the Baldwin Law Firm. Avvo recently changed their guidelines and removed my review. I'm re-posting to here since Google allows transparency by the public.
Mr Baldwin failed to provide a written agreement for his service. I believed I hired him for a flat fee which I paid up front. After my dissatisfaction with his performance, I replaced Roy and Sam with a better lawyer and they issued an excessive bill the following month. Went up against a single mother with zero legal representation or resources to sue for full custody, and barely managed to walk away with a few extra days' visitation - and in the process tore a little girl from her mother and baby brother for Christmas. Wouldn't hire this firm to fight a parking ticket. 0/5 stars.
