Romence Gardens is first and foremost a retail greenhouse. That means the plants we sell here, we grow here. And that's why our slogan says: great plants - we know they're healthy and vigorous; great varieties - we grow the prettiest and most dependable assortment of plant material we can find; and great values - we do both the growing and selling to save you money and still guarantee the best quality available.
A: No, prices for local shoppers in our brick and mortar store are less than prices shown online. The higher online prices are necessary to absorb some of the cost required to prepare and ship the plants. If you are a local shopper wondering about prices please call us: 616-451-8214. A: Most likely you have a product in you cart that does not qualify for the flat rate shipping rates such as a rose bush.
Romence Gardens gift cards are available in two redemption options, in-store and online. Both types may be purchased online. Be sure to select the proper redemption method. In-store Gift Cards are to be redeemed in our brick & mortar store and will be mailed out USPS. They are convenient plastic cards the size of a credit card that can be carried easily in a wallet or purse.

This place was great! The workers were so kind and helpful. I was greeted immediately, checked up on and had all questions answered. Large variety of indoor plants that all have signs describing the type of care they need and Wether not not they are pet safe. Additionally they have a large mum’s selection right now. Very fairly priced as well. Support local!

I have bought from Romence Gardens for years. I loved the wide selection, the software program that kept track of my orders for years, the points awarded to apply toward your next order (not a huge amount of money but it made me feel that my business was appreciated).
Several years ago, when I first bought from them, I could not believe the quality and condition of the plants that arrived. The packaging was superb, and everything looked healthy and amazing... great root development and beautiful healthy leaves.
Last year was spotty but I attributed it to the pandemic...perhaps short staffed

I ordered a hard to find red bleeding heart (‘ Valentine ‘) to be shipped to Minnesota. Just arrived and am I impressed ! The packaging / plant protection for shipping was outstanding. Beautiful perfect well started plant and it wasn’t all dried up during its travels during this heat. Good bye other online companies. I’ve found my go to store at Romence Gardens.

I am not so happy. Placed an order for annuals on May 26th for expected ship date of June 1. They had sent me an email that had said this is just a guideline and it could be later. Called today to find out when it might ship and they tell me now probably another 3 days. I would be more forgiving if it wasn't the fact that the are annuals. Disappointed and I have used them before. I would only consider them again if I were buying perennials .I couldn't find these in my area so I tried to give it a try.

I ordered a couple of shipments of plants from Romence Gardens recently, the first of which came in yesterday. They were well packaged and absolutely beautiful. I've dealt with the Romence Gardens representatives a couple of times with questions, and they've been nothing but pleasant and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for good quality plants/flowers to be shipped, and may be concerned with the condition of what you may receive. These are great people with a great product!!

On the hunt for a bird feeder hanger last winter, my boyfriend and I were directed to Romence Gardens by a friendly Rylee's Ace Hardware employee. We stopped in at the beginning of December and were immediately greeted and asked if we needed any help. I always love that! Unfortunately they didn't have what we were looking for but the employee helping us gave us a couple other ideas of where to go. So helpful and above and beyond just saying, "sorry, we don't have what you need." We took some time to look around at the offerings which were mostly poinsettia plants in December

Awesome selection of plants and SUPER helpful staff. I bought a monstera that I originally did not know how to care for and they walked me through how to keep it happy and even helped me pick out the healthiest one!
They had a nice sale on houseplants and said that they happen pretty regularly so I’ll definitely be back!

Romence Gardens really came through for us during these very tough times with the covid19 lockdown here in New York. Local nurseries were closed and so we ordered a bunch of great annuals from Romence as a "new" way to plant our garden. The plants arrived incredibly well packed and in great shape. There was damage to one plant on arrival and on reaching out to Romence about it, a replacement was immediately shipped out to us in perfect condition. All of the plants are growing incredibly well!! We look forward to ordering on line in the same way again next Spring season as it made

Looking for lady's mantle during the pandemic and found it here. Took longer to get here due to shipping (not Romence's fault) but they arrived perfectly packed and looking great for being in the box for multiple days (hot days too). Big healthy plants. First time I've bought from them but I will definitely order again.

This was one of the only greenhouses in Grand Rapids that had green/living plants that could be used outdoors in the winter in Michigan. That shows Romence’s commitment to detail and customer options. Every visit, I am greeted by a knowledgeable team member who can usually answer almost any plant question I have. I’ve purchased multiple indoor and outdoor plants from Romence and they are the highest quality, they easily outlive and outgrow the box and chain stores selling more affordable plants. I recommend if you are wanting quality plants and are willing to spend a bit more for that quality

A great selection of plants. Had lots of great discounts and the employees are very knowledgable and helpful. The best part about this place is that it's right down the street from my house and they have lots of available parking.
I went to a couple nurseries in the city and the parking wasn't that good which is a big deal when you're driving a truck.

I've gone here for years, and this isn't the same Romence Gardens it used to be... they used to have gorgeous, high-end garden statuary - unique pieces. This year all I saw were containers and some resin pieces, maybe a concrete piece or two, but very little.
In fairness, I stopped mid-summer, but still... hanging baskets were nothing special, a lot of overgrown, untended to annuals that didn't give

I showed up right at closing time (thought they were open an hour later than they were), and the gentleman who was getting ready to leave took off his coat and helped me as if I were his most important customer ever. I was buying a memorial rose for a friend who lost her mother, and he treated me kindly and professionally. The woman at the checkout also gave me great tips for planting it and got a wrap for the base to make it look nicer -- all after closing time. I will definitely return for their service alone.

I came here for an event my wife and I were invited to and am shocked that I didn't know that this place existed, and was so close to our house!
They have a huge variety of plants, gardening items and crafty garden trinkets for sale. The staff is extremely helpful as well as knowledgable and overall this is a great place to go to satisfy your green thumb.
An added bonus is the ice cream bar where they serve a variety of hudsonville ice creams.
