My 20 years in dentistry have afforded me many opportunities to serve in both administrative and clinical positions. I have worked with Dr. Brooksher in all areas of the practice, currently serving as the business manager. I also now have my own dental consulting business and am able to help other dental practices from the experiences I have gained in this great profession!
Dr. Brooksher was born in Joplin, Missouri. In 1964 his parents moved their family to Baton Rouge, which has been his home ever since. After graduating from Catholic High School, he decided to become a dentist. He had always enjoyed working with his hands, and he wanted a career where he could touch people's lives in a personal way.
Your first visit at Dentistry by Brooksher will generally be a comprehensive exam, which will include an accurate assessment of your oral health and the opportunity for you and Dr. Brooksher to become acquainted. When you arrive, our receptionist will warmly greet you by name. If you download and complete our patient forms in advance, that will save you some time in the reception room.
At Dentistry by Brooksher, we offer a variety of payment options to help you get the dental care you want and need. In advance of dental your procedure, we will let you know the estimated cost of treatment, as well as the estimated portion covered by your insurance plan. Unless arrangements are made in advance, payment of your portion is due on the date that services are rendered.
Cosmetic dentistry involves much more than repairing chipped or broken teeth. In the hands of an artist, it will refresh and enhance your smile and look completely natural. Excellent experience at this dental office. Staff very polite and friendly. Dr. Brooksher went over and beyond to help me. I had an emergency with a severe infection in a tooth. Dr. Brooksher recommended treatment for my emergency situation. Also, he called me to confirm that I had received proper treatment after his recommendation.

I have been with Dr. Brooksher and the extremely friendly and helpful staff for a few years now. I could not imagine going anywhere else. I truly feel at home as soon as I step inside the office. There was a time, because of an underlying condition which struck fear into the hearts of even the most stalwart yet misinformed medical professionals, that many dentists in Baton Rouge refused to see me.
Dr. Brooksher didn't even blink an eye. He bothered to read the literature and to inform himself then went about his business and treated me like a human being.
Steady and gentle hands; a professional and friendly staff; basically all that could be asked of a healthcare provider.
One slight issue is that my insurance only pays for the old amalgam fillings rather than the new technology

Have been going here for over a decade while in BR- sad not to have this crew in my current town. They're timely, efficient, nice, & do great work with cosmetic dentistry (he did a bridge on me that I get compliments from every other out-of-Baton Rouge dentist I've seen since I moved). Dr. Brooksher will take the time to get dental procedures right and have you happy with the results. I also like that he's part of a national cosmetic dentistry accreditation, which I'm finding is a rare gem.
