The first appointment we had Strunk’s practitioner and she was amazing! Listened and was very calm and helpful. Then on our second appointment Strunk got agitated with us when trying to explain things and then changed his medicine regimen but did not say it in a private room but told us in the hallway when I was trying to get a school form. Then on the third appointment yelled at my son who is the patient! You don’t yell at your patients! Told us he never changed the medicine regimen! It’s been horrible! The receptionists blamed me for confusing them about the school form! Like what the hell

Disrespectful staff and as well as Dr.Strunk. Do not go here if you need stability or a trusting doctor. This doctor will drop you as a patient for any reason he wants. Don’t believe me read his reviews where he’s dropped patients just for getting second opinions as they should. I now have to drive all the way to Troy for psych meds due to being black listed as a patient for missing (two) appointments one in (2015 and one in 2021) the first was due to a miscarriage and the second a new job. I was never made aware they had a policy if you miss (2) appointments you are permanently dropped as

I was grateful for years- I even used to travel hundreds of miles at one point- for Dr Strunk's guidance and willingness (unlike any of the 12+ psychiatrists I've seen before or since) to use stronger (including controlled) meds, off-label/experimental options, and combinations when the conventional/approved options had failed.
Unfortunately, when he had me on several strong/controlled meds (may have been the stimulants combined with Xanax that contributed to my lack of inhibition?, Hard to recall) I said something rude about how short/abrupt follow up appointments are, and wishing I could speak

Dr. Strunk Dropped me from His patients for going and getting a second opinion. He is overall a great guy but he doesn't take the time to understand the need of his patients. Some of us aren't in a position to afford both treatments at the same time so we do what we must to overcome our issues. Overall I expect a refund from this last visit of today Thursday September 10th.

This doctor has the personality of a depressed person. He offers little help other than pills. He doesn't try to find out everything going on and just asked what can I do for you today? After trying several medications we went right back to one prescribed previously that didn't work. My own insurance company tried to direct them but they refused to listen. He might be awesome to some but not for me.

Dr. Strunk is a very educated and clinical Psychiatrist. I suffered a closed head-injury in February2005 as a pedestrian/vehicle accident walking out of the exit of Lowe’s. My neck was broken which required surgery, my low back had 3 ruptured discs that required surgery. Recently my pain management Physician in Montgomery became scared with the opioid crisis and decided he could no longer prescribe one of my medications for the swelling on the side of my head. Last fall Dr Strunk excepted me as a new patient. My husband and I are very pleased with his medical care. He listens to me and prescribed

I must say Dr. Strunk is the first psychiatric doctor I have seen that actually listens and takes me seriously. For years I was told I had this, maybe this, and so on and so forth. My first visit was very thorough and he actually diagnosed me CORRECTLY. I now and on LESS medication and feel great. Kudos to Dr. Strunk and his staff. They have a hard job and they have managed to help so many people. The wait is sometimes a pain, but I only go every two months and I can deal with that. so, to Dr. Strunk and his mom, and staff, kudos. Thank you all for treating me with respect and compassion.
