Really cute cozy little place and was VERY needed in this wonderful small town. Also...super Smart of the business to make the upstairs B&B. The location used to be a fav store I used to visit years ago but I LOVE what they've done for a small little kitchenette cafe. They'd get 5 stars if they offered plant based options too but if you're not plant based, a nice place to get a quick breakfast sandwich, a fancy or plan coffee or tea. After a very long night of travel up the Delaware and into the canal we docked at the public marina in Chesapeake City. While walking my dog we found you Cafe. After returning the dog back to the boat 6 of us arrived in the Cafe. We were hungry and weary. Your friendly smile, service and food were excellent. The breakfast sandwiches and wraps were delicious and the turkey club was one of the best.

This cute little BNB place was a pleasant stay! We booked on Airbnb for the night and loved that it was above a diner. The diner itself is small but packed with the best decorations and pastry display. I had the toasted ghost latte and a SEC on bagel. SO GOOD! Our host and the owner of the diner, Tammy, is such a sweet woman and took awesome care of us. I would love to visit this cute and quaint city again and would definitely return here.

First time visiting today, because on weekends in the summer there was just no way, too tiny and too many people would have triggered anxiety for me. But on a crisp fall Friday morning with nothing but sun sparkling on the nearby canal? Bliss.
Quaint, with a few seating options indoors and outdoors. Very friendly people behind the counter, and the place was clean and adorable without trying too hard to be hipster. A place both the young and old would enjoy equally (in fact there were both when I visited).
A pretty extensive coffee/drink menu, some amazing looking desserts

Cute little window service cafe to grab coffee, iced tea, cinnamon buns, sandwiches, etc. Some friends and I recently stopped by for some drinks and I also got a few cinnamon buns - they were warm and very good. We go to Chesapeake City fairly often to peruse the shops - will definitely stop by Cafe on the Bay again sometime.

What a gem! My boyfriend and I both got the BLT and and ice coffee. It was the best blt I've ever had. Fresh lettuce and tomato, crispy warm bacon, freshly toasted bread and the perfect amount to mayo. If I lived here I would probably make sure to order that sandwich once a week. The iced coffee is really good too. I can't wait to come back.
The service was also great! Polite and efficient while following Covid guidelines. I felt very comfortable and confident in the safety of my food.
