Services
The Greening Funeral Home was first established in Clarence, MO, in 1952, when brothers Virgil and Pete Greening along with their wives Evelyn and Sue purchased the Lewis Hopper Funeral Home. In 1957, Virgil and Pete expanded their business to Shelbyville, MO, when they purchased Ernest Thompson Funeral Home.
Staff members of Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors. Corey grew up in Shelbina and is a third generation funeral director and embalmer.
Our Shelbina location is one of two main offices that we staff daily. This is the location where all arrangements are made for Shelby County funeral homes. Features of this location include a large chapel, seperate family room, media room, and lounge for refreshments. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm or by appointment.
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens is located just north of Macon on Lake Street. It provides three seperate burial gardens and a mausoleum. The Garden of Gethsemane and the Garden of Devotion require monuments to be level with the ground, and our new garden Sunset is an upright monument section. For information on lots please contact the funeral home at (660)385-5721.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
