Returning back from Glacier NP, after camping there for a week, this restaurant wined and dined like we were on a date lmao.
The place is decorated like a rustic train car, and gives a very cozy feeling. There's plenty of seating and getting a table was not bad at all.
The entrees we ordered were the Grilled Salmon and Thai Peanut Rice Bowl. Both were excellent and good enough to feed a fully grown person. The desserts were even better, the cobbler was especially remarkable and the tantalizing huckleberry flavor stuck with me for a long time.

Had the best winter weekend at this hotel. It was rustic and relaxing. We stayed in the locomotive and they did a wonderful job with it! It was so fun to enjoy the snow and watch the trains go by! The staff
was great all weekend! A special shout out to the gal who was the restaurant server from Armenia. She was so wonderful and helpful. We had a great time in the bar at night. We will definitely make it back to stay again. Highly recommended.

Gluten-free options available! I enjoyed their special for the day; pulled pork sandwich with apple slaw, and housemade chips. The pork had a nice huckleberry bbq sauce that was perfect, not too sweet, on gluten-free toast. Complimented the elk meatball appetizer nicely! They put French fried onion rings to the side for my partner. He enjoyed the fish and chiips, along with malt vinegar. He's a happy camper. The surrounds are extraordinary, especially at Christmastime! A comfy cozy atmosphere with historic elements everywhere. Worth the drive to get here!

Everything about our stay at the Inn made us want to stay longer. In fact, we did extend our stay a few nights.
It's location is a perfect starting point for adventures, and there is plenty to do right on the Inn's property as well.
The staff is amazing! They are all very welcoming, helpful & genuinely care about their guests. Furthermore, the breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Inn was incredible. We will definitely be back & want to THANK everyone on the staff for a memorable experience! I am telling all my friends and family to go here for a perfect getaway.
Thank you all!

This is an awesome old building. It looks authentic and if that's what you're going for, this is the place for you. There are three levels and no elevator. There is no AC in any of the rooms. If you ask, they have fans to put in the windows tho. Creaky old floors. Rooms are on the small side and the beds are stiff. I don't mind a firm mattress. There are 4 railroad tracks behind the hotel, like 50 feet away. They embrace this in their decorations and have the train times and everything. The only issue I had was the boiler radiator came on in the middle of the night making a 75 degree room into

What a nice secluded neat old place with some history to it. Stopped by to see what it was all about. We were too late for lunch and too early for dinner. You’re right on the railroad tracks so that might not be what everyone likes. For me it adds to the ambiance. It was a built as a lodge for track workers and train crews. It’s still got its original charm. This would be preferable to staying in East Glacier Village just a few miles away.

A cute little spot in a remote town. Perfect for a secluded getaway or adventurous weekend! The in house restaurant and gift shop were a nice touch. Due to being the end of the season they seemed to be a little understaffed, but everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were quaint and comfortable, though the begs were a little too firm. We had a great night in the bar one evening, but wished it was open nightly. Overall a fun little getaway! I would love to come back and stay in the train cars.

Went to a wedding here and since there isn’t much else around we ate every meal there and interacted a ton with the staff. The food was great.
The folks that work here are awesome. Super helpful and nice and just cool people!
We took the train in and they picked us up and drove us over and everything.
The room itself was super cozy and comfortable. No complaints at all, would highly recommend for a nice quiet weekend or an event. Need a car to get anywhere is the only drawback but we were so comfortable it wasn’t an issue!

We had a great stay in a train caboose cabin. Our cabin was clean with a deck and a view of the mountains that was amazing. My daughter loved the loft bed area and little bridge that goes over the train tracks to the main inn. There are plenty of trials nearby and we walked on some from our cabin. We ate in the restaurant and it is very expensive but worth the convenience for one night. The Inn is away from the crowds but close enough to get to everything. Quiet, serene, but don't expect TV or WiFi. I would happily stay again and highly recommend it to friends.

The staff here are very kind! The place is beautiful and has a history behind it. The train goes by every now and then and it's perfectly placed between the park and the mountains. Only 30 minutes from west glacier and about 1.5 hours to Many Glacier which is also a must see!! There are a ton of hidden gems and hiking trails that are not as busy as West and East Glacier to see. One of the best stays I've had!! Bonus- the food here is delicious (:

Loved our waiter, Ruben. He's hilarious. We had the elk meatballs, which I would recommend. Pass on the garlic and parm fries. Huckleberry pie is good and their in-house mules (cocktails) were delicious. Loved watching the trains go by from the deck. Nice vibe all around. And they have wifi!!! If you are already around this part of Montana, you will know what a prize that is.

Let me start that we were on motorcyles and staying at the Halfway Hotel that they also manage.
We got there for supper and went to the basement bar and asked the Bartender if we could order food there and she said no so we had to go up to the restaurant and check in at the podium.
We check in at the podium and were told that they would get a waiter to seat us. We waited around ten minutes and during that time another couple came up and got a waiter and he said sit where ever you want, so we took this to mean us also.
We sat at a table and were sitting there for 15 minutes while the waiters walked

Let me start by saying that this historic hotel is adorable, and the food in the restaurant is top notch. Our room is amazing, with a big comfy bed and a claw foot tub. The real heroes of our tale are the front desk staff. Leah and Justin are a freakin' dream team. They really bent over backwards for my wife and I in literally every possible way. Come for the rooms and food, stay for the epic hospitality.

We had lunch there today on the porch. The 4 of us were delightfully satiated! A couple of bison burgers, the elk meatballs and wings and the big wedge were all very good. The ciders and beer selection were very MT local and good also. But the Huckleberry pie and Huckleberry cobbler, both with Huckleberry ice cream, were the piece resistance (tasted REAL good)!

We really enjoyed our time here. At first, it was a little daunting. We were staying in the Locomotive Car. There is no WiFi or TV. There are videos, but you are really going to dis-connect here. The kids were a little upset at first, but we had some of our favorite evenings, cooking on the patio, playing games and hanging out. There is WiFi in the lobby and you can always go there for a fix.
We loved sitting on the porch and watching trains. Food was very good. Gift shop was excellent. From here, we took the Drive to the Sun Road and we don't regret it. Great stop, great

Went here for lunch when visiting Glacier to check out the inn. I ordered the bison burger which was mediocre at best compared to others I've had. I got a huckleberry drink which was very good and the view of the railroad and mountains was excellent. Reason for the 2/5 was the service. Our waiter, Tony, was clearly unhappy to be there and showed no personality. Half threw our condiments on the table and was very impatient with us. We were excited to try this place as we had read lots about it, but we're very disappointed by it

Our lunch of southwest salad, Mediterranean vegi pita, and fish & chips was terrific. The portions were very generous, expertly prepared, and nicely presented. Exceptional service! Very clean. Pleasant atmosphere. The building has been very well cared for. Anyone who likes trains will really enjoy the history here.

Had the special with sandwich and soup. Both were good. We split an order of fries which were good also. We didn't stay at the inn, but I think that would be fun also. We visited in the winter, I suspect it is a tourist zoo in the summer. This was a nice destination on a road trip from Whitefish to Glacier Park.

Stayed at the Inn, and choose to eat a dinner, breakfast and a picnic lunch from the Dining Car. Dinner was first...we had an incredible meal. Lamb lollipops for an appetizer....could have been dinner for a small appetite. My husband had the tea crusted duck served with a quinoa, wild rice, I opted for a tenderloin. All of the food was impeccably prepared and served, however even without wine was in the $100 range. We had breakfast two days later, the food was excellent however the server was challenged to keep up with the diners needs...never did get a second cup of coffee...although when asked

We had dinner here in July. Our server pretty much acted like she'd rather be anywhere other than waiting on us, and kept forgetting to bring us simple items we had asked for. The food wasn't that great--we both had the pork chop. Wish we had eaten at the Belton Chalet instead--we ended up there for dessert and saw the meals coming out of the kitchen--they looked amazing. Personally, I wish we wouldn't have spent our money here at the dining car restaurant, as the food was really overpriced for just tasting so-so and less than average service.

Fortunately, we had asked someone to recommend a place to eat and they recommended this place. We would have passed it by, otherwise. It was part of an inn nestled among the evergreens, trains cars scattered among them. My husband ate the bison burger. He said that buffalo tends to taste gamey, but they did a good job of preparing theirs. I absolutely loved my wagyu burger (asked them to leave off the condiments because I just wanted to enjoy a great burger and they were willing to adjust). It was one of the best burgers that I have eaten on this trip ( and let me tell you that Montana has

We stopped here for lunch and it's one of the best places we've found along this stretch of highway that goes around Glacier Park. The staff is very helpful and they even have a limited selection of gluten free items on the menu (including dessert!). They were able to modify my order to accommodate my other allergies as well, and did so cheerfully and by substituting other ingredients instead of just leaving things off, which was nice. It gets so tiring to have wait staff roll their eyes at special menu requests, and I pretty much won't eat at places that don't seem happy to
