When Dr. Brian Robinson founded Grant County Orthopedic Associates in 1999, he was determined to provide area residents with a top-quality, "top-caring" orthopedic practice.In just a few years, the practice has earned an excellent reputation for its treatment successes and its warm, personalized approach.

Our goal at Southwest Bone and Joint is to put patients first and ensure that they get the care that they deserve. What differentiates us from other companies is our workforce focus. We see qualifications as a bare minimum requirement for belonging here; skills can be obtained, but values are another story.

Dr. Robinson founded Southwest Bone and Joint Institute in 1999 to help as many patients as possible in southwest New Mexico receive quality, compassionate care. Dr. Robinson received his medical degree from the University of New Mexico (UNM) School of Medicine in Albuquerque and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at UNM Health Sciences Center.

It's where we work, live, and play. Most of the people at Southwest Bone and Joint Institute even grew up in the area. So, its no surprise that we share a deep commitment to our community and feel privileged to make a living by care for our friends and neighbors. We believe in these groups and the people they serve.

At SBJI, our commitment to our patients is to provide them with quality orthopedic care. Part of the way we do this is by offering patients high quality surgical services using state of the art technology. We are proud to be the only orthopedic surgery group in Southern New Mexico to perform navigated knee surgery on patients needing a total knee arthoplasty.
