Spantec Systems was established in 1969 by Peter Murphy. Mr. Murphy supplied overhead cranes to large and small companies on Long Island. Most notable was Grumman, Brookhaven National Labs, Long Island Rail Road, NYC Transit, NYC EPA, NJ Transit, among many others. Mr. Murphy worked with some of the large builders in, and around the NYC area.
