The Coronado High School PTSA is a nonprofit organization, run by volunteers who provide valuable support, services and programs to Coronado High School teachers and students. Our PTSA is one of the strongest in the city. Our parents, teachers and staff are the backbone of our school, providing the best in programs, events, scholarships, etc. for our students.
In order to keep this tradition, I encourage you to look for opportunities to volunteer. Whether it is a small or big time commitment - there is a place for you! We also do our very best to communicate with you as much as possible through our Timely T-bird emails and our Facebook page.

I am excited to welcome everyone to Coronado High School for the 2021-2022 school year! It promises to be another great year of academic success, excellence in our extracurricular endeavors, and a continued renewal of maintaining a caring and nurturing school experience for all of our students. Last year was an excellent school year for Coronado in all areas, and this year will be no different.
Thank you for your interest in Coronado's PTSA Scholarship. Winners are determined through a juried process, and scholarships are paid directly to the educational institution the winners plan to attend after graduation. The description for each scholarship is given below. Note the due date! Follow the instructions found in "Scholarship Application Directions" checklist carefully - incomplete or incorrectly completed applications may be declined.
CharacterStrong is an organization that provides curricula and trainings for schools internationally. Our trainings help educators infuse character and social-emotional learning into the daily fabric of any classroom or campus. Our curricula focus on character development in order to help students cultivate social-emotional skills, their emotional intelligence, and help them develop a stronger identity and purpose in school and in the world.
One of the highlights of the year that our EPISD Council of PTAs has is to award scholarships to eligible graduating high school seniors with an active PTA or PTSA. The scholarship committee has worked hard over the past few weeks. I want to thank Renee De Santos & Lisa Schoenbrun for running this committee and doing a fantastic job!
