Services
An arborist specializes in the art and science of planting, caring for, and maintaining all species of trees. Arborists are educated and aware of the needs of trees and have the required skills and equipment to provide proper care. Properly maintained trees are aesthetically pleasing, increasing the value of your home.
All work performed by Coastal Tree Care is done in accordance with ANSI A300 standards and meets or exceeds the safety requirements in accordance with ANSI Z133. Crown Cleaning is required in situations where dead, damaged, or diseased branches need to be removed. This process reduces the risks of hazards and helps to promote health and vigor for the tree.
It is important to check for ISA arborist certification. Certified Arborists are experienced professionals who have passed an extensive exam which covers all aspects of tree care. To maintain certification, arborists must earn Continued Education Units by completing exams, attending professional seminars, or donating their services to affiliated organizations.
Contractors are required to pass both a law and trade exam to become licensed in the state of California. They are also required to carry a State Bond, and Workers Compensation and Liability Insurance. They must be legal citizens of the United States and have passed a thorough criminal background check.
This past summer, Darnall Charter School was in dire need to trim and care for our trees at our campus. It was a big project! Coastal Tree Care has done an amazing job to treat, care, and trim. Our properties trees are older and established. We call them our "treasure trees, " they are in all sizes and varieties - and are precious to us.

Coastal Tree Service is the best I have ever used. I have gotten to old to prune my fruit trees and other companies just didn't have knowledge in this area but claimed they did. The crew was on time, posted curb signs the day before and came with so much enthusiasm. They respected my knowledge of 52 years of gardening and we made decisions together. They knew exactly how to prune the trees and seemed to have a fun time doing it, laughing and sharing thoughts. I'll never trust my trees to anyone else. Their prices were very fair.

The Coastal Tree Care team of Gary and Primo trimmed and thinned a large Queen Palm, Pigmy Date Palm, and 2 Medium African Sumacs. The palms required removal of dead fronds, fruit and seed pods. The Sumacs are very prolific and removal of numerous branches and much of the foliage.
I had tagged most of the branches to be removed and consulted with Gary on additional trimming and thinning to maintain balance and symmetry. The work went well. Gary was very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with.

CTC pruned our 80 year old Brazilian Pepper that was in need of some TLC. We were so pleased that we went with these guys because they were so careful in their pruning decisions, and the tree looks so beautiful and much healthier. I wish I had taken before and after photos. A few other things to mention: the three young men who showed up (Josh, Gary, Evan) were super hard workers, really knew their stuff and were very eager and professional. They also took the time needed to answer our many questions and cleaned up superbly. I would use them every time.

Definitely 5 star service. We had a tree removed and Josh and Miguel did such a fantastic job in no time and were so careful about the rest of the yard and where the branches fell. Gary finished up a few things a few days later and he was so enthusiastic about his work and trees and gave us such good advise on how to care better for them - We were simply amazed on how good they are - we will definitely have them back when needed.

Josh and Miguel pruned 6 queen palms for us. They arrived on time, asked us how we wanted them trimmed and got right to work. They took care not to damage any of our furniture or lights. It only took about an hour to knock them all out. After they finished trimming, they brought everything out to the street and hauled it away. They were great about cleaning up after and left no mess behind. I highly recommend them for your tree trimming needs.

Brian and his crew did a fantastic job with our difficult backyard. Our yard doesn't have the best access and had been neglected for by the previous owners. (It probably hadn't been worked on in at least a decade.) The crew was able to clean up the several eucalyptus trees and the dead/dying bamboo.
Brian discovered that one of our eucalyptus trees was pretty far gone and had the potential of toppling onto our neighbor's house in the future. We had it removed without an issue and the cost was not significant.

Brian, Evan, and Ben were wonderful. They took the time to walk me through their process and confirm exactly what they would be doing. We have several large very old trees, and their main concern was not to do anything that might effect the health of our trees. When they were done, everything was neat and clean. If you want beautiful healthy trees I recommend Coastal Tree Care.

Coastal Tree Care has maintained our Palm trees for years. They have also trimmed our bamboo and and out of control hedge from time to time. The company is easy to work and with and does an excellent job. This morning Evan and Dan showed up with smiles and went to work quickly and efficiently. Victor and his team are outstanding! They gave me a realistic expectation of what they wanted to do, and the challenges in my backyard they may restrict them from fully trimming my date palm. Then they completely exceeded my expectations, got all of the seed pods taken off, and treated my tree for weevils. They even took care of a tree that was coming over my fence line at no extra charge. I'd highly recommend Victor and the Coastal Tree Care team and will working with them moving forward

Justin, our arborist, was amazing, and the team who did the work (Victor, Josh, Ben, and Andrew) were prompt and super efficient - they completed all the work in about an hour. Awesome service. We needed to remove a date palm infested with WEEVILS. They came in and were thorough with the estimate and started the job right after. They took out the tree quickly and cleaned up the whole area completely with no signs that major work just took place.

I was having trouble finding anyone who would come out and diagnose the issues my trees were having. I called a ton of people and nobody would get back to me or just told me they couldn't help. Coastal Tree Care came out and in a matter of minutes helped me diagnose the problem and gave me some great advice.
