Advanced Hearing Systems
Advanced Hearing Systems has been a mainstay in the downtown Edmonds community for 20 years. In that time, we have become specialists not only in hearing aid technology, but also in making sure your claims are processed correctly and swiftly! Established in 1995, Advanced Hearing Systems is owned and operated by Ray Ault, who has a long history in the medical field.

He was a Green Beret Medic, worked in pharmaceutical sales and was a writer for The Journal of the American Medical Association. Ray founded Advanced Hearing Systems with the purpose of providing the industry's finest service and fairest prices. We hold Washington State Licenses and are national board certified specialized.
Services
When you choose Advanced Hearing Systems, you get the very best - in products, technology and service! We carry the most respected products available and back them up with unparalleled support to ensure your hearing aids give you peak performance. We also take care of the paperwork for many types of claims.
Since the various systems produce different hearing impressions, it is important for you to make a comparison yourself. For this purpose we will produce custom-made earmolds based on the exact contours of your ears. We can then ensure that your hearing aid fits perfectly. At the hearing aid fitting, you will receive the hearing aids you selected.
After attending UC Berkeley, Ray joined the US Army and became a Special Forces Aidman, the program that was the precursor to the Physician Assistant Program. After service, he was Special representative in San Francisco for an international pharmaceutical corporation. During this time, he was recruited as a writer by the Senior Editor of the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Sudden or prolonged exposure to noise can cause damage to your hearing and is one of the leading causes of hearing loss. Hearing loss from prolonged noise exposure is often detected too late, meaning the hearing loss is usually irreversible.

Hearing protection is extremely important for anyone who is regularly in a high-noise environment, including target shooters, motorcyclists, airline pilots, musicians, construction workers and factory workers. The truth is that anyone subject to noise exposure may need to wear hearing protection to protect their long-term hearing.
There are many steps that are part of a hearing aid evaluation. If you suspect that you might need a hearing aid, you will first need to have a hearing evaluation. At the time of the hearing evaluation, a case history will be taken to determine how much your hearing problem impacts your day-to-day life as well as the lives of your family.
