In 1938, in the beginning of Cherry Hills history, a series of houses were built in what became known as the "Circle." To the south, is a small school called Cherry Hills School. This beautiful section attracted people who wanted to maintain and beautify their community. In 1938, the Cherry Mountain Improvement Association was established to protect the area from excessive development, and the preserve the character of the community.
In the early 1920s, the land prospered with orchards of cherries, apples, apricots, plums and pear trees. Colorado entrepreneur Rufus Clark bought 160 acres of land along the Platte River, including much of Greenwood Village east of Holly Street. In the 1950s, residents were deeply concerned that developments south of Denver would threaten their way of life.
Sporting one the most professional equestrian facilities in the state1, the Ken Caryl Valley has over 4800 acres of land which hosts two outdoor arenas, one indoor arena, and plenty of trails for hikers and bikers alike. As a family-focused community, the Ken Caryl Ranch Environmental Education provides a variety of programs for families.

My elderly mother was tentative about calling a financial advisor. She was afraid of being taken advantage of, and of being required to drive into Denver to meet. But Mr. Heathershaw came to her kitchen table, with a respectful attitude and great suggestions for someone with limited assets. She has been extremely pleased that she took his advice. She now calls him "her hero".
I am also impressed with the options he presented, which have been so helpful. After looking at my 401(k) portfolio, it has done better this last year than any in the last 25 years.
