Our purpose at Encore! Studio of Performing Arts is to provide a noncompetitive environment where students are encouraged in building self-esteem, poise and grace, while being taught proper dance technique and vocabulary in each style of dance. It is our foremost goal at Encore! Studio of Performing Arts that all students have an opportunity to enjoy the wonderful world of music, dance and drama in a comfortable, no pressure FUN way!

Services
Currently Encore! is home to 700+ students who study music, drama and dance in over 72 different classes offered weekly. With a staff of caring individuals, classes are taught with an organized curricula and syllabus, in an educational but fun way. Workshops, Camps, and Tea Parties allow students to expand their creativity.
Encore! was the proud recipient of the 2013 Senator Pan award for Small Business of the Year. Encore! was also nominated for the People Helping People Award in 2007. Although not a current recipient of the award, the honor of being nominated speaks volumes to the importance of teaching our young dancers how to reach the community through volunteerism, using their abilities, and getting actively involved.
Join us for a splendid afternoon of tea and cakes served by our character dancers such as Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and The Sugar Plum Fairy. Tea Parties include story time, dancing with the characters, a special photo time and of course a menu of delicious tea and cakes served for your delight.
Ballet vocabulary and technique taught through barre and center floor work, as well as across the floor combinations and connecting steps. Training combinations and performance routines are taught throughout the session. Classes are once a week for 50 minutes in seasonal year round sessions. Dress Code: Any style/color leotard with NO skirt attached.

So far love the place! Sign on and get free tea party! Very cute and fun for my little child! She loved it! Miss Lisa is very accommodating. Was a bit skeptical because I read some reviews . They actually respond pretty quick to emails. I do like the fact they also have items for sale so I'm not flutters searching online or at stores. They actually gave me discounts also which made it comparable to buy on spot than go searching online . Overall, I'm very happy . My child loved it instantly after one trial. Highly recommend! If things change I will update.

Communication here is very lacking. Additionally I feel as they exclude certain children from participating in the dance recitals. (The children that sign up through EG Rec)
The first session my daughter participated in (sep-oct)
She arrived at the class & one of the classmates asked her where she was Saturday for their performance? After the class my daughter was upset & disappointed as we were NEVER informed of the performance!
Second session comes around (Nov-Dec)
They do hand out a flyer, basically saying

My daughter's dance session has finally came to an end. I've been meaning to write a review in order to explain how great the instructors are. Everyone is so organized. Miss Lisa has done a great job of notifying me of all upcoming events. However I didn't form a bond with any parents and my daughter Alaya has already performed in 3 events. The reason why I bring this up is because I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling from this dance studio. It felt more like a drop off and pick up studio. This could be the same for all studios so maybe I shouldn't complain about this

I've danced at this studio for 6 years and it has fostered an elegant spirit as well as built excellent friendships. I am sadly leaving for college and know that I will miss all of the teachers, students, and the overall experience. If you're looking for a relaxed studio that offers excellent ballet, tap, jazz, and musical theater foundations this is certainly the studio for you.

Based on my experience taking the "Me and My Shadow" class with my 3-year old that we just finished, I would definitely NOT recommend this studio to any one. This class was listed as a 6-sessions class, 30 minutes, every Saturday 12 noon - 12:30pm for 6 weeks.
Here are my negative experiences:
Re 2nd session: Class started 7 minutes behind but ended 12:30pm anyway.
Re 4th session: Substitute teacher - no clue what needs to be taught, totally unprepared.
Re 5th session - Class was cancelled due to some specific event. And it was announced that a makeup session would follow.
Re 6th session

I am giving them 3 stars because the first two sessions my 2 yr old participated in the me and my shadow class was amazing. She had such a fun time and ms LISA was a very good instructor. Then came the 3 rd session and the class was cancelled after I paid. They gave me back my money without a problem. They have the same class at the Wackford center same studio. I was first told class starts the Monday following Halloween. I show up to the first class running a little late and since I signed up 3 weeks ago I did not think it was a problem to attend the class without proof. The teacher Cassandra

My daughter has been dancing at Encore for 3 years and she loves every minute of it! Encore has provided her the foundation to grow as a dancer. She looks forward to class and especially to perform during recital. She loves dancing there and the friends she have made is priceless. The staff and dance instructors are super nice and open to answering any of my questions.

This dance studio has been a wonderful place for my daughter to learn how to dance. I love the recitals they have in the Sheldon High School Theater, a very nice professional type of theater, although, on a smaller scale. The recitals are like a trial version of a professional production. This gives the young dancers a taste of what it is really like to be a professional dancer. They become used to performing in a place that would be similar to a larger theater, in case they ever want to pursue a career in dance. I have read some of the negative comments and don't agree. Where do I begin? For starters, the lady at the front desk is so monotone, no motivation to help, and rude! Owner and instructors are overall friendly (Hello, they need to keep you coming back right?). Nothing I did with them was handled on a professional level. Few times I brought issues with the front lady to the owner I either never got a reply or no follow through.They even lost my pictures I ordered with them and no one ever even offered an apology. They seemed annoyed that I was bugging them for pics THEY LOST. DO NOT RECOMMEND them try ELITE DANCE

We moved our daughter to another dance school about a year ago and it's been night and day. I think Encore is a good "beginner" dance school, but if your daughter is serious about dance and you plan to have her at school more then an hour a week, then it would behoove you to consider a school that not only teaches dance, but educates your child as well. The teachers are always asking questions of the dancers and it's refreshing to see that interaction. If you don't believe me then attend another school's dance recital and you'll see the difference especially

I regret that I should have checked the review before I enroll my daughter. I totally agree with Mrs Goh and the rest who gave their negative feedback here in Yelp. After joining for 2months, I have so much hesitation to continue. I was overwhelming by their idea of how they run their recitals twice in a year by earning more money through the kids' performance. Kid's recital fees, tickets for each one family members who attend, expensive one-time costume, CD. And, this is totally not professional at all by always hearing teacher asked to eat in her restaurant which next to the studio

I really like the staff here and I've been here from ages 3-12, but after a while, I wasn't really feeling it there anymore. It's awesome when you're smaller and getting older then you learn more. But once you get around my age, they've already taught you many things and they just teach the same things over and over again. I haven't learned anything new in a year. Yes, the staff is super friendly and fun and I had a lot of friends there, but they didn't push me to my full ability and now they do that at my new studio. I'm learning a lot of new moves that

They moved to a more crowded location where parking is horrible. information sent via email about classes & recitals are not thorough. Other than that, Miss. Cassandra is super nice. I'm hesitant to put my daughter in another class because one of the younger instructors was not very friendly when our daughter took a make up class.

Just finished up our Kindermusik class at Encore. Ms. Lisa is dedicated, organized and attentive, and takes the time to make each activity and song relevant for the children and what they're experiencing at this point in their development. The facility is very clean, bright, and welcoming. I will be bringing my other child back for dance lessons now that I've found Encore!

My daughter has been going here for two years. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. The prices are very reasonable for the classes they teach here. You have the option to pay for 8 weeks or a full 16 weeks. Classes range from age. The beginning age group starts at 3 and up. They teach ballet, tap, hip-hop and the list go on. They have 2 recitals a year. My daughter has been in 3 so far and it has given us great memories. Miss Lisa is a great teacher and runs this studio. I already recommend this place to my friends. It's a great place for beginning ballet classes for little ballerinas
