Savannah is Dr. Maddux's furry canine family member, and she is the mascot and inspiration behind Savannah's Crossing Veterinary Hospital. She is a three-legged mixed breed dog whose heart is filled with pure joy and love for her family and children of all ages. A local good Samaritan brought in an 8-week old puppy that had been hit by a car on a busy four lane highway in front of the veterinary college.
Dental care is one of the most neglected aspects of pet health care. A fact that many pet owners may find surprising is that regular dental screenings and oral hygiene can actually add years to the life of your pet. As with people, oral disease in pets begins with bacteria in the mouth that harden and form plaque that adhere to teeth.
Dr. April Parks is originally from Lebanon, TN. She completed her undergraduate and veterinary degrees at the University of Tennessee. She graduated veterinary school in 2016 and she and her husband moved back to middle Tennessee at that time. She enjoys golfing with her husband and spending time with their three dachshunds as well as their newborn son, Rowan.
At Savannah's Crossing Veterinary Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, we understand that cancer is a word no pet owner wants to hear in connection with his or her beloved pet's health. However, cancer is a diagnosis that seems to have become almost commonplace in today's society, affecting humans as well as our canine and feline companions.
The in-house diagnostic capability at Savannah's Crossing Veterinary Hospital provides pet owners in the neighborhood of Cason Lane, New Salem Hwy., and Barfield Road with on-site routine testing to determine your pet's overall health. Our pets cannot tell us when something is wrong, in fact, they instinctively hide their abnormalities.

Savannahs Crossing does a phenomenal job in taking care of our babies. They are 100% our go-to vet. We are so happy to have found a vets office who truly cares about the needs of our dogs instead of shoving unnecessary tests and medicines down our throats. They are patient in listening to all of the 1,000 questions/concerns I have and kind in giving easy to understand responses. We love this office and staff.

I honestly have loved my experience here. My dog Everett is the light of my life and I wouldn't trust him anywhere else. I also take my sweet sweet kitty here Addie. Both have received nothing short of the best care. They are patient and knowledgable. I would 10/10 recommend. Also, their staff is all so friendly!

I took my 2 year old dog here for her first appointment after adopting her and Savannah's Crossing is amazing! To start, the front desk staff were super sweet and energetic. Once we got into the room the vets kept that same energy. They were super kind and took care of all of her needs, including lifting her onto the scale/table since she was scared of it. Her vaccines were quick and easy, they didn't push anything that she may not necessarily need. They answered some questions and listened to my concerns, which I'm very thankful for. All in all, great service for a fair price. Thank you!

I wasn't happy with the vet I had been using, So I brought my 23 year old kitty cat to Savannah's for some better care.
They showed me patience and kindness and I could tell they cared for my little baby.
He lived a good long life and the wonderful Dr Parks and her staff made sure his last bit of time in this world was as comfortable as we could make it.
Thank you Dr Parks for all you've done for me and my little Plato. I'll miss him so much, but I feel a little better knowing he received the care he deserved from good people like you.
Thank you for your patience, kindness, and compassion.

Dr. Smith is very kind and compassionate. She gave us the second opinion we were looking for and used them to have our problem taken care of instead of our normal vet.
They are allowing pet parents in where our regular vet isn't. This is a HUGH comfort to us when it is an actual life changing event for the pet and family.
