Soohee Han Schulz, Co-owner of Golden roots, is a 2nd generation acupuncturist and herbalist of the Korean tradition of oriental medicine. Soohee earned her masters in oriental medicine through South Baylo University and has been licensed since 2013.

Acupuncture is a healthcare system based on ancient principles which go back nearly 2,000 years. It looks at pain and illness as signs that the body is out of balance. The overall aim of the acupuncture treatment is to restore the body's internal equilibrium.
What makes this system so unique is that the physical, emotional and mental aspects of the human body are seen as interdependent, and the overall focus of the treatment is on the individual, not the illness.We believe that the underlying principle of treatment is that illness and pain manifest when the body's qi, or vital energy, cannot flow freely.

I've been receiving acupuncture treatments from different practitioners for 20 years. I can honestly say that Golden Roots has shown me a whole new side of what acupuncture can be. Not only will you receive top notch acupuncture and cupping treatments, but you will be treated to herbal medicines concocted specifically for your condition, and guided into a better lifestyle through the advice of the owners/healers, a truly remarkable couple! Dr. Soo Hee and Dr. Kyle are extraordinary Eastern medicine practitioners. The compassion and care they provide to their patients is unique and I've never seen it or experienced it in the western medical practice. Called and made a last minute appointment; my symptoms were killing me. Off the bat both Dr. SooHee and kyle were extremely nice and really care about how one is feeling. This shows they know their patients are in need of help. They really listen with patience and pay close attention to all the details you provide them. From there they explain and proceed their game plan to help one's relief.

Soohee and Kyle are warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable people that provide an amazing service. I have been to Golden Roots for both fire cupping and acupuncture therapy, and have felt noticeably better the very next day. Both fire cupping and acupuncture is a very relaxing and relieving process. Soohee and Kyle are very knowledge on their practices, and I can’t recommend them enough!

They are so kind and sincere, and truly do everything they can to heal their patients’ discomforts. My daughter and I visit as much as we can but whenever my daughter can’t go as frequently because of school, they always provide advice for her health and recommend various foods to ease her stresses. I thank them always for their sincerity and thoughtfulness, especially when they make time in their schedule to treat me whenever I need.
