Services
Uwharrie Cabins Inc. is a family owned business, with the owners living in the Eldorado community. We started the business in 2008 for the many people that come to enjoy all the many activities in the Uwharrie National Forrest. We wanted to provide a clean, quite, and comfortable lodging option for overnight visits to the area and pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and a large repeat customer business.
Choose an adventure at Morrow Mountain State Park, whether it's hiking, camping, paddling, fishing, horseback riding, swimming or just taking in scenery on one of the highest points in the piedmont. More than 15 miles of hiking trails and 16 miles of bridle trails thread the park, reaching from the summit of Morrow Mountain to Lake Tillery, where a boathouse offers canoes and rowboats for rent and bait for fishing.

Wonderful cabins with a great view and very quiet! I had a great time staying here on multiple occasions! Everything you might need is stocked in the cabins and the owner is very helpful and nice! I would recommend Uwharrie Cabins to any of my friends!

Great, and quiet place to get away. Enjoyed peace and quiet to myself. Had a nice campfire outside to roast marshmallows on and make s’mores. Highly recommend!

4.5 out of 5. Location was great access to Uwharrie and Lake Badin (short drives). Quiet and dark at night time. It was clean and amenable. Much, much better than a hotel. Staff was helpful getting us in touch with canoe rentals (thank you!)
Only complaint (minor and easily fixed with curtain or frost), is that the door on cabin #3 has a window that doesn't have a way to cover it up. The driving path is a little higher than the cabin, so it's possible to see in.
I doubt privacy would ever be invaded but worth mentioning.
Would definitely use again.

So Well Appointed! In addition to a great location on the cusp of the Uhwarrie Forest, (where we had just spent an afternoon crawling over rocks, streams and trees on the trails in my Jeep Wrangler), the Uwharrie Cabins were crisp & clean and anticipated every need a somewhat-city-princess could need: comfy bed, hair dryer, soft towels to wash away the mud, Dawn dish soap (key element!) For cleaning up dinner, rocking chairs on the porch, a huge tree swing, and a quiet night filled with stars. Thank you!

My wife found this little gem for our family vacation. Wonderful accommodations at an excellent price. We plan on returning in the fall to watch the leaves change color

Positive: Value
Cozy and quiet cabins in the woods at an affordable price. At least one has a view of the stars at night from the porch. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need including coffee and condiments. We will definitely be coming again.

Great setup. My family used it as a reunion site across multiple cabins. Nice hiking spots nearby. Nice porch setup. Set back from the road, so getting to other places was simple.

The service was amazing, we met the owner as we showed up and he was super nice. We paid through the online app coming from Oklahoma to the Uwharrie Cabins and everything was impeccable and on the plus side the front cabin door is coded so there's no key to loose and with every person he takes the time to reset the door code to ensure the cabin is all for you. The cabins themselves where amazing, super clean very well kept and better priced than a hotel for the amount of time we stayed - we will most definitely be staying everytime we come through again. The cabins have amazing AC, stove and oven

Beautiful location and adorable cabin! My now fiancé took me here on a surprise getaway and proposed! The cabin is the right size for two and the love theme is absolutely the cutest! The views are hands down amazing! There is a calming little creek that flows right in the backyard and you’re super close to town. Perfect little spot to unplug and relax!

If you need a little escape from the hustle and bustle of the world then I highly recommend seeking out an old school cabin such as this. The retro and rustic vibes will take you back to simpler times.

Uwharrie Cabin is a pretty good deal for about $100 a night (rates may vary) and in the heart of the Uwharrie rolling forests. There are plenty of trailheads nearby with the closest one being Trailhead 109.

I stayed in the Ponderosa Cabin. It is a completely open concept with two queen beds facing each other and right next to the kitchen/dining area. The only private room is the bathroom so you

What a precious place to stay! We rented Ponderosa (Cabin #2). It was clean and well-stocked. We built a fire in the pit outside and drank coffee from rocking chairs on the front porch. It's a quick 4 minute drive to the Eldorado Outpost for supplies, and a 5 minute drive to the Badin Recreation area for hiking. The Uwharries are a hidden gem in NC, and the cabins are a great place to enjoy it!
