In 1996 the Village Deli was established in Village District based on a vision we had about offering hearty, homemade foods in a rustic and cozy atmosphere. We wanted to create a wholesome and warm establishment where people would feel welcome and well-fed! Along the the way we have also been recognized on a community level by our local publishing organizations. We give thanks to all who acknowledge our hard work and dedication. No service at all, crowded and very expensive. Felt like I had to tip. The tables was dirty too. The Village District has better places.

The vegetarian burger is awful. It's dry and tasteless, falls apart and too big to fit in the bun. I am afraid to try their tempeh options now. I was very disappointed because the rest of menu is good. This burger should be taken off the menu because vegans and vegetarians will not be pleased.
They should consider sourcing the patties from the same supplier that Rise Village District uses because their veggie sandwiches are fantastic.

On a busy lunch time in the Village District post-Christmas, we were able to find a table, order food, and receive our delicious food in 15 minutes. Would eat here again. The Cajun shrimp wrap was especially good.

A nice afternoon lunch date. The fried chicken sandwiches are awesome. Get the fried green tomato and pimento cheese toppings and it's a 10/10. Also dog friendly seating outside ❤️🐕🐾

Great breakfast. Super friendly staff. Kind of in a rut but the two eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast with coffee is on point. Served quickly too.
Don't leave without a pound of their chicken salad too, it's amazing!

I got the avocado turkey brie panini and i tried really hard to eat it, because I hate wasting food but it was truly nasty. It tasted very salty, fishy, and just generally gross. When I gave up, I opened it up and found the avocado was almost completely brown. These ingredients were definitely not fresh. I’ve had good food from Village Deli before, but this was truly unacceptable for a $12 panini (side of sweet potato fries that came with it were good though!).

Sooooo dang good. Best egg salad I’ve ever eaten best onion rings I’ve had. Fries were on point and the Philly steak was up there as some of the best I’ve had. Found this place by chance and so glad I did. Came in for a quick bite to eat and am very satisfied. After last nights expensive and disappointing dinner at ragazzis in garner this has made up for it and some. Lady taking out order was very friendly and helpful in answering questions. Even let us try the egg salad before ordering. This is one of my new favorite sandwich places in the triangle💙💙

This is one of our favorite takeout spots! I come from Holly Springs for it and bring a large order back to friends in our neighborhood almost weekly. Their chicken salad is our favorite, but you can get all their "salads" by the pound and they are so nice to have in the fridge. You can't go wrong with anything, but their soups are also amazing. I can't recommend this spot enough!

This is a place that has been around for awhile. I had the classic sub which one would expect to be the poster child of sandwiches, meh. The meats and cheese was all decent quality but nothing that made my taste buds holler. They gave me white instead of wheat as well. My daughter had the egg salad on a croissant, meh as well. She said the egg salad was too sweet. The STAR of the show was her cup of roasted red pepper and Gouda soup!!! I should have bought a gallon to carry home. The depth of flavor was unexpected and satisfying. The consistency was spot on with bits of roasted red peppers and

First time here. The shopping center is getting a facelift and the places like closed but aren't.

I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and a cup of chili. I chose multigulti-grain bread and thick American cheese. The bread was nutty tasting and fresh. It was a very good choice.

The chili was the best I've ever had in a deli. Chunks of tomato, kidney beans, green pepper we're just right.

I'll be back.

Great place for breakfast! I ordered the Supreme breakfast bowl with sausage and it was great! I prefer my food to have a kick. If you do I'd recommend adding some Texas Pete which they have available. My wife ordered a traditional breakfast which she enjoyed. 4 out of 5 stars as my wife's grits were very runny. Not sure if that was by design or not.

Pathetic sandwich! Tried Village Deli at Lake Boone and ordered a BLT sandwich. It ranks as one of the worst BLTs I've ever had. Everything was competing with the lettuce to be more wilted. At best it was on par with a fast food chain sandwich but far from what I would expect from a "deli". Truly disappointing.

Stopped by here for a quick lunch. It was great! The restaurant is following social distancing by placing a sign on every other table stating that this table is not available. I had a Village Club that was delicious! It's a little pricey for a lunch sandwich - $10 for a sandwich and chips - but it was a big sandwich. Also, they have outside dining in the shade, which was nice on this hot afternoon. I will definitely be back.

I love that this locally-owned spot is open early for breakfast. They serve a fantastic spread for 10 bucks and have ample space for meeting others and kicking off the day. My only complaint was that the wifi was a little spotty and kept kicking me off. They were only two gentlemen working this morning when I was there and they held down the fort incredibly well, this includes the guy cooking in the kitchen. Love y'all, Village deli! See you again soon. PS: they are incredibly vegetarian friendly at lunch with tempeh and tofu options. Yay!

This little place is fabulous! Don't worry if you walk in and it's lined out to the door - it moves very quickly! They have great options of all types of foods as well as different dietary requirements. When I went, they had the soup of the day as the beer cheese. I really wanted to try it but was getting the tuna panini. They have an option to choose a half deli sandwich and half soup/salad but they wouldn't let me do half panini half soup :( Wah! Oh well, still went with the tuna panini and jalapeno chips. YUM! Along with this I also added a sweet tea and it came to ~$13 + tip

Good sandwiches, soups. Solid food. Love the burgers and subs. Good breakfast as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. In the past they have had some issues, but they seem to have new management that is addressing the past issues.

This was my first time eating at Village Deli and Grill. It was pretty good. I ordered the California Chicken Salad sandwich.it came with cucumbers and Apple slices on it. They also give you the option to choose your bread type and if you want it toasted or not. Once ordered, they give you a number to take to your table. They bring the food out to you.

The atmosphere was nice with a laid-back casual feel. A few TVs with SportsCenter is a nice touch. I'm looking forward to going back and trying other menu items.

Okay food for a high price. I came here for lunch last week and ordered the Turkey Brie Panini with Sweet Potato fries for an additional charge. The size of the meal was okay but I paid around $16 for it including a sweet tea.

The sandwich itself was good but the turkey had a funky taste. The sweet potatoes fries were not good at all. They were over-fried and they tasked like they had been fried in very old oil.

So all in one, I would say I might give this place another try but I think that it is way too expensive for what it offers. Let's note that it is not a full served restaurant.

I ordered the smoked chicken panini and a bag of chips online. I intentionally ordered it to go at 11:30 to beat the lunch rush. I chose the option to have it made right away.

I got there about 30 minutes later and was told, oh you are here. I'll have them get it ready. Ten minutes later, it was ready. What I didn't realize is that after I ordered online, I received a second email saying my food would be ready at 1220?! That's not right away.

What's worse is that the bag of chips was placed on top of my sandwich inside the to go box. Ewwww. Not sure how many hands touched
