Services
The federal No Child Left Behind Act, and the state Public School Code, permits you as a parent, the right to request information about the licensure and other qualifications, teaching assignment, and training of your child's teacher, instructional support providers, including paraprofessionals, and school principal(s) who may work with your child.
Communicates with parents, students, staff, and members of the community by phone or in person. Support schools with attendance interventions/strategies to improve attendance using evidence-based strategies and Attendance Improvement Plans specific to the school. Uses data to monitor and problem solve attendance concerns, as well as review current trends to help reduce truancy.
Las Montanas is now using the Explore Learning Model to structure its curriculum to provide more student choice in the educational pathways we offer. LMCHS does not follow the traditional school system of semester-long/year-long courses. The school's academic year is split into smaller learning modules, called seminars, which vary in length depending on grade.
