The inside of the mouth is normally lined with a special type of skin (mucosa) that is smooth and coral pink in color. Any alteration in this appearance could be a warning sign for a pathological process. The most serious of these is oral cancer. These changes can be detected on the lips, cheeks, palate, and gum tissue around the teeth, tongue, face, and/or neck.
Periodontal diseases are infections of the gums, which gradually destroy the support of your natural teeth. There are numerous disease entities requiring different treatment approaches. Dental plaque is the primary cause of gum disease in genetically susceptible individuals. Daily brushing and flossing will prevent most periodontal conditions.
Nitrous Oxide Analgesia- Nitrous oxide, a sweet smelling gas, is a compound of nitrogen and oxygen. It is inhaled, along with oxygen, through a nasal mask. It is used for patients of all ages. It is also used in a number of dental treatments such as tooth restoration, placement of crowns, or for minor surgical procedures.
Medications- Please carefully follow directions for medications. Take all medications with a full glass of water. If at any time you should become nauseous or experience itching or a rash while on medication, discontinue the use of all medications and contact our office. Women using birth control medication should be cautioned that antibiotics may reduce the effectiveness of birth control medications.

Report
So, I've been working with Dr. Park for about 2 + years now. I also don't give 5* ratings easily or quickly. I stand firm with giving her the best rating. Things have only gotten better with time. She is extremely caring, professional, and thorough. I have a lot of trouble with pain & sensitivity. She and her team have minimized that for me. She gives very well thought out recommendations for treatment. My mouth has not felt this good in years! I actually don't mind my teeth cleanings - at least not here. (I used to really hate them.) I really, really trust her with my mouth
