Advanced Pain Medical Center
Since 2014, Advanced Pain Medical Center has found the solution to patients' problems, rather than just treating the symptoms. We want to help you get back to doing whatever you love, with less pain. I've had numerous pain doctors through the years but both Dr. Stewart and the PA are the best. Always spending the time needed for each visit.

Pleasant and professionals. We do pain management the correct way. As a pain center headed by a double board-certified physician in Gainesville, Florida, we promise to look to the long-term to alleviate the real problem. Our doctors are State-certified to order medical marijuana. Cannabis is one of the many treatment options we offer, and, when properly done, it is an excellent therapy.

Studies have shown that chronic pain is more prevalent in older adults than in any other age group. In addition, women experience pain more often than men. As a matter of fact, 73% of older adults report that they are experiencing pain, increasing to 80% for those who are living in care homes. No matter the age group, poorly controlled pain can cause functional impairment such as sleep disturbance, reduced mobility, and decreased socialization.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical that is found in the Cannabis plant. Cannabis can refer to marijuana or hemp. The Cannabis plant has over 80 different chemicals, which are called cannabinoids. CBD, if it is hemp-derived, is a legal cannabinoid that is most commonly used for epilepsy. It is also used for anxiety, pain, dystonia (a muscle disorder), Parkinson's disease, Crohn's disease, and many other conditions.
As part of a comprehensive approach to the treatment of pain, we offer targeted therapies. These procedures allow us to get closer to the source of the pain. In so doing, we are better able to improve the symptoms. This also allows us to reduce other medications, which reduces side effects. All of our procedures are performed on site.

I have been referred to Dr Stewart by his previous colleague Dr Borkowski. Trying to get an appointment since October to have my hip bursa injected. I finally got an appointment for today, January 14th 2022. Scheduled at 2:00 pm.
I arrived at 1:57 pm. Sat until 2:13pm when I was informed that I was actually supposed to come thirty minutes to an hour earlier to fill out paperwork.
I had downloaded the app Breeze that they had sent me and it said I had no paperwork to do.
I was handed the paperwork to start filling out when the receptionist opened the window and said they had a 3:00 pm appointment

KETAMINE INFUSIONS:
I started care under Dr. Stewart several months ago to help with pain control for, primarily, Fibromyalgia (very debilitating for me). When it came time for my Spinal Fusion, I really needed his help since I’m highly sensitive/have bad side effects to Opiates. FORTUNATELY, Dr. Stewart provides Ketamine Infusions for pain, and after discussing it, we felt this was a good option for post-op recovery. We started planning for my six infusions. These took place over two weeks with the last one being the day before surgery.
I had five 45-minute infusions and one that was 4-hours

Have been trying to schedule the MRI Andrew ordered, but the office girl didn’t believe me when I relayed the info from Shands regarding that I have to be put under general anesthesia since I’m so claustrophobic. Now she’s refusing to put the last order in on my low back due to a recent fall that Andrew and I discussed in depth at my appointment only a few days ago. So she is expecting me to have to undergo general anesthesia AGAIN just to get my low back done separately. And because of all the back and forth and her hanging up on me, now the soonest I can get the MRI is end of February.

I have been a patient here for many years. Dr.Stewart and his team are great. His PA Ashley is who I see most of the time and she is AMAZING. They are kind, patient and understanding. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I love Dr.Stewart but his front desk help is not very nice. I showed up today for a visit and the front desk lady tells me I owe a balance . It’s not that “I owed” a balance that upset me it was the demeaning way she spoke to me. I went on to explain, “ I pay my bill at each visit” Apparently, she thinks people aren’t going to pay, and has to talk down to them to make herself feel superior. If she had looked she could have easily seen I pay my bill every single time.”

I have been dealing with pain for 20 years since my car accident. I have had a failed fusion, twice. Dr Stewart and his staff, along with his phenomenal PA’s were more than efficient to help me with my pain. The doctor has the best bed side manner and talks with you to make sure you both come to the best way to help with your pain. They did with me. I do not like having to search for doctors at all, I have been going to my prior doctor for 6 years prior to coming to advanced pain and when I met Dr. Stewart, I knew I was going to be in good hands. I moved and was so nervous on trying someone new

Having suffered with chronic pain for years.. including failed surgery on my lumbar spine in 2017, with no doctor willing to help me at all, my new primary referred me to Dr. Stewart. I first saw him on July 2, 2021. At that appointment we discussed many options and he started me on some pain meds, which no other Dr. Has been willing to do. Even though ALL of them said I need it. It's a low dose, and it's not doing a lot, but it's better than the nothing I has before. I've also had two procedures to help with the pain. And we have obtained approval for a spinal cord stimulator trial and the required
