My family worked with Island Independence to completely renovate the family property on Maui. Even though we are located on the Mainland, Gabe was able to keep us updated on the progress of the demolition and construction via phone or video calls. The quality of work is top-notch and built to last. He is extremely knowledgeable and was always able to give us cost-effective options when needed. I would highly recommend his services and would definitely use them again.

Gabe is the BEST of the best! He far exceeds any other contractor I have dealt with in Maui or on the mainland. His biggest strength is communication. He initiated updates with me on a regular basis (instead of me having to wonder what was going on). Gabe always keep me in the loop. This was especially appreciated since I was not in Maui when the work was being done. Gabe also has considerable expertise in his field and offered excellent suggestions and solutions. He also has a great crew who did excellent work. They made it clear to me that they would do whatever it took to make me happy with

We asked a trusted friend in the building trade industry to recommend someone to fix some roof issues that were starting to show up due to the wrong materials being used by the previous owner. Island Independence did a fantastic job for us on our major remodeling job. It was a massive job that was not the normal demolition and replacement. Gabe, Andrew, Andy and the crew were extremely professional, on time and kept the pace going with all the difficulties that we were facing. Nobody could have done a better job than they did. The end product was amazing and breathtaking. I have already recommended them to several people. The difference in our home is like night and day, just stunning. Thank you Gabe, I miss you guys.

Island Independence remodeled our entire home during Summer of 2017. The place is fantastic and is really a luxury home now. They moved the kitchen, added an upstairs and downstairs deck, a new bedroom, all new plumbing and bathrooms, including outdoor shower, extended the house out 10 feet and it is fabulous. I highly recommend them. All of the employees are personable, respectful, efficient and do a wonderful job. The owner Gabe is easily accessible, will listen and is working side by side with his workers to ensure that the job is done as desired.

Gabe and his team are excellent! Gabe was referred to me from a good friend and successful Realtor on Maui.
