Services
The Boat Doctors are old fashion marine mechanics that don't just change parts and hope it's enough. They are certified mechanics that will inspect, diagnose, adjust, and replaces parts if necessary to eliminate the problem with your vessel. This is our team of professionals. Each of them take distinct pride in their work.
They don't call me the Boat Doctor for nothing! Anything that could possibly be wrong with your vessel, I will find and resolve in a timely and cost-effective manner. If it is something beyond what I think is repairable or out of my capacity, I'll let you know. We repair all outboards, inboards, and stern drives.
We do not pick up or drop off any of the boats we work on. However, if you are stranded in a river, we will try whatever we can to find you and tow you back to shore, and then fix your vessel to ensure it doesn't happen again any time soon. Just drop by to ask us a question or take a look at your vessel's issues.

I have used Mathew & Tommy a few times. I have received nothing but professional, fair and honest service. Most recently, I had a shift issue in a new to me outboard. I was unable to drop the lower unit, so off it went to Mathew at his shop. I got a call about a week later (everyone else has a 6-8 week wait time just to do diagnostics). Mathew asked me to stop by and take a look as I work about 5minutes from his shop. Showed me the issue, and informed me it may be rather labor intensive. I’ve had the same” flats boat” for 12 years. It fell into disrepair due to lack of use. Every time I got it up and running, another issue would pop up. I was tired of being overcharged and under-serviced by other places when a friend recommended Matt, the Boat Doctor. I’ll never take my boat anywhere else. My boat is always repaired completely and on a timely basis. Matt always keeps me informed of costs and proposed fixes in advance. Motor still running after 3 years.. Thanks Matthew!! I need a set of new coil packs however .
Got my coils replaced along with the power pack in almost no time. Let them know i had a boat meet coming and he was a man of his word. I had the best running motor out there.. It was nice seeing how i come from lower class. Can't thank these guys enough. Owner even offered to come get me after i was stranded on the river. First place i called and he offered that. I found a gem.

I would not recommend “The Boat Dr.” to anyone. I dropped my boat off on 8/28/18 (week before labor day) and was told it would take 7-10 days for an engine diagnostic. I was also told not to call during that time due to the two mechanics being extremely busy. I understood that and honestly was not in any rush to have it fixed. Come business day #11 I decided to give them a call to check up on my boat since it had been over the allotted time they had quoted me, I received no answer. I left a voicemail with my name and phone number. I never got a call back. Day #13 I called once more and same

Took a little longer then expected but that’s because my boat sat for 3 years. They went through everything with a fine tooth comb and brought this old boat back to life. Matthew and Tommy went way above and beyond to help me today and fix a problem with my boat, so that we could take it on our vacation to the Keys tomorrow. Matthew literally put my boat ahead of everything else and it turned out the problem was just a belt that needed to be replaced. Service like this doesn't happen anymore. It is so great to have a top notch, dependable and reliable marine mechanic in our community. I won't take my boat to anyone else except the Boat Doctor. I had an issue with my boat so I brought it down and it didn't even take him 5 minutes to identify and fix the problem. He wouldn't even accept any payment from me. It's truly a blessing to have businesses such as the boat doctor in the community and this place will definitely be my go to shop in the future for any marine repair.

I have lived in Orlando for many years and have owned many boats of all sizes ranging from jon boats to offshore sport fisherman. I currently have 2 pontoon boats and a skiff (90 hp Merc 4 stroke, 60 hp Yam 2 stroke, 25 hp Johnson). Over the years I've had the opportunity to experience most of the boat service companies in Central Florida. Matthew at the Boat Doctor is the best I've found. He is very honest and does quality work while being conscientious and fair about cost. I recommend him to anyone needing service on their boat.
