Chartered in 1895, there is no location on Lake Erie better suited for the most genteel of all sports, yachting. The Erie Yacht Club is one of the esteemed yacht clubs of the Great Lakes with a membership of 1,500, steeped in tradition but known for its hospitality. Our members are sailors, racers, cruisers and stewards of the sea.

A yacht club is a unique institution. It brings together those who love boats and time on the water, and becomes a very special place for its members.

The Erie Yacht Club is the perfect setting for all your special event needs. Whether it is a business meeting, luncheon or dinner, wedding or shower, enjoy the wonderful food and excellent service while your guests marvel at the beautiful view of Presque Isle Bay. Private banquets and meeting rooms are available to members, guests sponsored by a member, and yachtsmen with reciprocal privileges.
The membership at the Erie Yacht Club currently has over 1450 members, which includes approximately 640 Regular Members, 395 Social Members, and 170 Junior Members. We are the home to sailors, fishermen, power boaters, ice boaters, windsurfers, jet skiers, and many social members. Up to three generations of families comprise much of our membership.
If you would like to secure a slip for the season you must submit a Boating Use Application. Proof of Insurance - It is of the utmost importance that we have your current insurance information including a Proof of Insurance on file. If you submit your boating application without the proof of insurance, your application will not be accepted and will be returned to you for completion.
