Sahar Douraghy is a licensed attorney in California. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine with majors in Criminology, Law and Society and Political Science. During law school, she studied abroad in the London Program where she served as a Law Clerk for a prominent Family Law Solicitor.

This type of law is one of the most challenging and rewarding areas of law. Family Formation Agreements or Surrogacy Contracts require specific experience and understanding to help families in different situations. We have represented countless parents, surrogates, embryo, egg and sperm donors over the last 12 years.
In California, the Family Court Judges can appoint an attorney to represent just the child in a difficult custody case (Family Code Section 3151). These attorneys in Family Law are called Minor's Counsel. Oftentimes, if the Judge has specific concerns or wants a neutral opinion regarding the best interests of the child, an attorney will be appointed to investigate these concerns and bring facts to the Court.
Independent or private adoption occurs when a birth parent places a child for adoption with prospective adoptive parents. It is very important that an experienced adoption attorney is used during this process. Our adoption lawyers will ensure that the correct consents, advisements, and waivers are signed so that the adoption can proceed.

Obviously there are many choices in Southern California with family law attorneys. But it’s truly rare to find an attorney that has the complete package. Sahar and her colleagues did an amazing job with my extremely difficult and complicated divorce and custody issues. I hired Sahar Douraghy for a divorce attorney and couldn't be happier with her. Her knowledge of the court system and family law is unbelievable. She knows what each judge likes to see from you in court and will always have you very prepared. She is constantly in contact with you preparing your case. She will break down your best and worst case scenarios so you don't get blind sided, but will also let you know how your judge will properly rule according to how she has seen him rule in the past.
