Dr. Johanson completed his undergraduate education at Wheaton College and subsequently earned his MD degree in 1985 from the University of Illinois College of Medicine. As part of his post graduate gastroenterology fellowship training, he earned a Master's of Science degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.
