The room was set up so beautifully, and countless guests have told me and my parents how much they loved the food! It was actually good, not like most wedding meals. Since we were so busy during the wedding, Mary made me and my husband a box to take with us, and it was still delicious 3 hours after the reception.

She just loved to cook for people and entertain. It was just her personality. Whenever people came over, she would dirty up every pot and pan in the house. Martha Hunter-Pullin said she seriously thought about letting go of the business for good, but it was the will and influence of her mother that urged her to reopen.

Wanted to grab lunch in Jackson today. Picked a place I had not yet visited, Hunters. Lots of stuff in the buffet (they load your meal), but decided to get a bacon cheese burger. For the first time in my life the cook actually came out to ask me exactly how I wanted it cooked! I like medium rare burgers, but 90% of places just cook everything well done. The burger came out quickly and exactly as ordered. Sincerely one of the best burgers I have ever had in my life, and I am picky about burgers. Very large side of fries. The staff was very friendly. Will be back to try the fried chicken next!!

Hubby and I visited for the first time this weekend and were not disappointed. I had the fried tilapia and hubby had the fried chicken. Delish! Hubby did say his mashed potatoes didn't have any flavor and tasted boxed. The peach cobbler was AMAZING. Tasted just like my grandmother's. It needed a little more thickening, but tasty. We can't wait to get back. The customer service was impeccable and the restaurant was clean. Oh, the prices were quite reasonable as well. We had two meals and a dessert for uner $20.🙌🏾🙌🏾
