Services
At age 14 Jacques had his first culinary experience while working at his father's restaurant. This inspired him to further his education in culinary arts. During his time at college, Jacques took the position of Pastry Chef at the Kennebago Lake Club; owned and operated by the actor Kurt Russell's grandparents Bud and Ooie Russell.

We are looking for a highly motivated presentable individual, who is enthusiastically hard-working, a team-player to run the daily operations of the front of the shop. Must be able to work Saturday as well as an occasional Sunday. Must have excellent time-management and organizational skills as well as computer knowledge.

My husband and I went with Jacques Pastries to make our wedding cake for our wedding in October 2021. The cake was actually included in our venue package, and it is obvious why our venue paired with Jacques Pastries! The cake was delicious, and we got so many compliments from our guests! The cake itself was moist and the frosting was creamy and perfectly sweet (not the overly sugary kind some cakes have). We had a three-tiered cake (two layers were chocolate cake with cookies and cream filling and vanilla buttercream, and one layer was white cake with raspberry jam and chocolate truffle with vanilla

Not happy with them lately. The cakes are so beautifully decorated, but unfortunately the taste, flavor, texture are just ok. I got an allergic reaction to the white cake/chocolate frosting. Is there tree nut flour in the batter? I know small shops don't have the same disclosure rules as large companies, but an allergic reaction is the same no matter the company size!

Jacques just made my baby shower cake yesterday and I can’t even begin to explain how perfect it was. I absolutely fell in love with every part of it. The cake was so delicious and the decorations were above my expectations. They made my day with this cake. All my guests were raving and everyone took pictures. Jacques made a gorgeous (and delicious) 3 tier cake for our wedding in May 2021. We delayed our original plans due to Covid, and we had no issues delaying our already ordered cake to our new date. We had a lemon layer with lemon jam, a carrot cake layer, and a red velvet layer. We also ordered some assorted pastries. They worked with our florist to add fresh flowers to the cake, and delivered everything to our venue. Overall great experience from original tasting through delivery!

We used Jacques Fine European Pastries for our three tiered wedding cake! It came out beautifully and we couldn't have been more happy with our experience. Everyone loved the cake and said it was absolutely delicious. Even when we told our vendors who we had chosen for cake Jacques' name came with prestige and greeted with excitement. Even throughout the pandemic- they had take out to go samples that we could try at home and they had amazing communication the whole time. This place is phenomenal! Best cakes I've ever ever had. But most of all frosting that is out of this world!!! I had another cake from there not to long ago that I loved so much vanilla with raspberry and vanilla bean frosting. But the one in this picture makes me feel like I'm eating cake made in heaven. Yes I know that sounds laughable but it is by far the most amazing cake I've ever put in my mouth. It's hazelnut with raspberry. It's just perfect! It's delicate, not cloyingly sweet. The hazelnuts on the outside seem slightly sweet, and nice and crunchy.

We have been ordering all the birthday cakes for both of my kids for the last 7 years, and the cakes are phenomenal: the presentation, the details, the taste. These are literally works of art. Every cake we order is custom ordered, and every time it is outstanding. The most importantly they taste fantastic, keep losing for days and store well to be enjoyed after the occasion. Can't recommend this place highly enough as they have been consistent through the years. All the staff that we have interacted with have been very professional, friendly and helpful.

Our wedding package at our venue included a cake made by Jacques Pastries and it was absolutely wonderful! It was definitely one of the best cakes I've ever had and it was everything I wanted my wedding cake to be. The tasting was relaxed and the staff did a wonderful job answering our questions and making suggestions. The cake was absolutely beautiful and looked just like we imagined. The whole tasting process was lovely! We were impressed from the second we walked in, and continue to be impressed as we move forward! We hardly waited for any time before we were seen. The shop looked very neat and clean. The staff was all friendly and we loved that their outfits were all clean and branded, it gave the overall feel a very professional one. The tasting options were great! We LOVED the little containers for each filling and that our host kept asking if there was anything else we wanted to try. I was looking for a special cake for my 2nd anniversary and after finding Jacques Pastry Shop I was very excited! Perusing their website I was blown away by their cake sculpting and looked forward to surprising my wife. I had them craft a 10" round, 2 layer cake with a 3D sculpted design based off a drawing of us as bears. It was red velvet cake with a blackberry cream filling and cost $200 dollars. Then the day finally came!

Jacques was the bakery that we used as part of our all inclusive venue package. They made our wedding cake to absolute perfection. I showed them a photo of my design and it was made spot on. The cake was also really good. We went with various tiers of chocolate, raspberry and vanilla. If had fresh flowers and eucalyptus. It was made so perfectly! When I saw it I was floored because it looked even better in real life, than the photo I'd shown them. It was the perfect balance of elegance, greenery and a somewhat rustic/natural look that I wanted.

Jacque's Pastry created the cake for my wedding day. They had a huge selection of cake designs to choose from. We also had a very fun and delicious cake tasting. The cake was delivered right on time and the guests devoured our cake! Our venue said they've never seen cake disappear that fast. We chose one layer of chocolate cake with nutella filling, one layer of red velvet with cream cheese fillng, and the third layer was chocolate and vanilla with chocolate mousse filing. So pleased with this shop. I was looking for a cake decorator to help with a unicorn cake in the Manchester area for a 4th birthday, and found this place through a google search. Spoke with the team via email and on the phone. The order process was quick and easy and the team was super responsive.
