The best pain Dr there is, hands down! Unlike most he won't over medicate you and is always willing to try new things to help live with the pain! I need to retract my previous review, although I suffered more pain after the nerve abielation procedure for about 3 weeks I've noticed great relief now from agonizing neck pain. It worked! I'm so sorry for doubting there treatment. Dr Purvez put great effort into relieving my pain and I appreciate what he's done for me.

I had an outstanding pain management doctor in Hershey but unfortunately we moved away & l lost her as my doctor. I've tried this group twice but l won't a third time.1st incident l chalked off to the nurse having a bad day. However, I've come to the realization that this doctor & his staff have the compassion of a nest of rattlesnakes. Also, this doctor is a one size fits all. Meaning, if the only tool you have is a hammer then of course everything looks like it needs a nail. That's all I'm saying.

I am so thankful that I found this practice. It is so easy to get an appointment here. The staff is very nice, and helpful. Before I found Dr. Purvez, I saw many doctors, and I was feeling hopeless about my condition. It was hard to find a doctor who understood my diagnosis. He is very caring, and he has been working with me for the last few months to find the best possible treatment to manage my pain. He has the best bedside manners, and really makes you feel like you are in good hands. If you need help to manage your chronic pain, he will work hard to help you get better.

Dr. Purvez is a wonderful doctor. I am so thankful that I found him here in Charlottesville. I was in a car accident a while back that caused me to have consistent pain. I was living with horrible back pain every day. I had previously gone to a chiropractor and physical therapy 3-4 times a week for about 4-5 months but still not getting relief. The pain caused me to lose sleep and was decreasing my quality of life.

I am an athlete and fitness instructor dealing with chronic low back pain.... I was getting chiropractic adjustments weekly only getting temporary relief. After 4 visits I finally have found relief. The Pain and Spine Center basically charged my insurance $1000 for two 20 minute visits, while prescribing me an arthritis medication that didn't help and xrays that didn't show anything. I went to a different back specialist after deciding the Pain & Spine center is more concerned with how their website works than whether they treat your issue. The new Dr suggested an MRI which found I have a herniated disc that is completely pinching the nerves in my spinal canal. I would suggest finding a specialist in Richmond instead.

Best doctor in the world, professional staff they make you feel like family and you can actually talk with Dr purvez and he talks to you not AT you. I went to dr. Purvez after a car slammed into my parked car ar 45 mph. My fingers were numb at the tips and worse my arms fell asleep when I tried to sleep, I woke up several times a night in excruciating pain as they regained sensation. Dr. purvez was not like any other doctors, in that he listened to me and did not think I was lying. He gave a drug called gabapentin which is not a narcotic and it completely solved all my problems.
