Weirdest request from a handyman service: JW does not supply nails for the nail gun that their employee uses. I had to pay $50 extra for the nails for his brand of nail gun.
They also took a lot of time to sweep the floor CLEAN - on the charge.
However, the door frame they put up was not plumb.
I would call this business a very honest one.

Communication is through a call center, wait to get to rep. Then they ask a lot of irrelevant questions before scheduling a visit. Salesman came out, had no suggestions, no ideas on the project, was unable to answer questions. We would need to order the new door ourselves, but he was unable to provide any specs for us to use. Everything done at hourly rate, no firm estimate provided, just gave a verbal ballpark of hours required, pretty high. He wanted to schedule on the spot. We asked for a written proposal, he said he would send it. Never heard from him again. Just no.

The guys were great. They showed up early almost every day and did an awesome job. They did repairs on my porch and painted. They also remodeled my bathroom. They had excellent suggestions when on-site conditions required changes. They were very professional and wore masks. I've used them before and will definitely see them again. Highly recommend them!

Alberto and Javier are the absolute Best at what they do. I was very pleased with the finished project. They replaced a mirror, lighting fixtures, and removed unsightly tile from Master Bath. Replaced lighting fixture in my guest bath, removed rotten wood from my front window and front door jam. They were on time, and worked tirelessly until the job was done

This review is just for the estimating experience I had, I did not hire them. Long story short, their hourly rate is high and doesn't make sense for certain tasks. The first thing I was told by the estimator was that they are not worth the money for a lot painting. I could have been told that over the phone when I booked the appointment and been saved the trouble.
There was no follow up either; they did not seemed concerned with getting my business.

I contacted JW Home Improvement for an estimate to assemble a 6' x 10' shed I purchased from Home Depot for much less than $1,000. I had gotten two earlier estimates of $600 but one person had never assembled a shed and the other was more than qualified but was tied up with other jobs for 2 weeks. I asked the person who took the call about the company's hourly rate but she said that the estimator would have to come out and assess the project. She also said the company charged a $50 deposit that would be refunded if we kept the appointment or applied to the bill if we had the work

Replaced Old Gutter System.
It was a great job. I've used JW Home Improvement before for inside small jobs. The estimate was well within the average for the job. The crew that came to do the removal of the old gutters and install the new system was terrific. Mr. Thomas Matamoros was the crew chief with assistance from Kevin and Gary. They arrived on time, worked hard and finished the job in the estimated time. Of great help, was the fact that they arrived at the beginning of the 2 hour estimated arrival time. TLDR: Worst customer service I've ever received in my life. Work was subpar & I had to fight with them for months over it before they finally made it right. They make you a priority if you write a review. Otherwise, they're terrible at returning calls.
Long Version: I did my research. They seemed trustworthy. Scheduling the estimate was easy & the estimator seemed professional. I felt confident that hiring them would be a good decision. I couldn't have been more wrong.

Thank you so much for the excellent service. The mechanics, Luther and Samuel, did a great job which made the entire process a pleasure to do business with your company. I will definitely use your services again. The original estimate for 2 men X 2 days was cut in half by the mechanics who worked like two synchronized swimmers.
