Dr. Mongue graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984 and began his career at Eastern Shore Animal Hospital and Scenic Hills Veterinary Hospital. As a young man of 30, in 1990, he decided it was time to open his own practice. Pace Veterinary Clinic opened in January of 1990, using his 1986 Toyota pickup as collateral on a loan.
He had zero staff and not enough trash cans. From 1990 until the year 2000, Pace Veterinary Clinic operated at 4545 Chumuckla Highway. In 2000, the practice moved across the street to the current location, a converted Junior Food Mart. In 2005, the practice underwent a major remodel and became the present day facility.

Here at Pace Veterinary Clinic, we always welcome new clients and patients to our full service veterinary practice in Pace. We know you will be very happy with our services. As a new client of our Veterinary Clinic in Pace, you can expect our full attention to your pets' needs. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we'll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet's medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.
This is a great veterinary family. The sweetest, kindest group of people. We had to put our dog, Barry down after over a year of battling cancer. He absolutely loved going to the vet. When we would take him in for checkups or over night stays, he would practically drag me to the door. You could tell that he really loved each and everyone there.

Office staff is nice but disorganized. The Office Manager tells them to deliver the customers pet(s) and/or products to their vehicle, say thank you, and walk away so the customers don't have time to ask questions. Even if the customers do ask questions, I was told to ignore them and get back to work. As a former employee, it was a nice place to work, knowledgeable Veterinarians, but micromanaging Office Manager who instructs office staff to ignore questions and to not offer any assistance over the phone because these things take up to much time. Personally, I believe interacting with the customers

I have 2 chows, Denali and Olympus, and they don't like ANYONE. Well today we had Trevor Walker as our vet, and he was able to administer all thier shots, and was able to do it without them even yelping or trying to get away. Very impressed and very confident in future visits.

I needed a new Veterinary Clinic and after looking at several I chose Pace Veterinary Clinic. Making the appointment was easy and the folks were friendly and that’s important to me I don’t need rude people in me or Chases life. We arrived after a short wait went and met Dr.Walker who was very friendly and knowledgeable. Chase who is a BorderCollie/Lab seemed at ease during the exam and liked the staff as well! The cost was very reasonable and it’s just nice to know if something ever happened he has a great Vet Dr.Walker to take care of him.
