All orthodontists must be licensed to practice, but at this time only 1 in 3 orthodontists have continued on to become a board certified orthodontist. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) certification process signifies a unique achievement-a significant step beyond the two to three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics.
At your complimentary smile evaluation at Musgrave Orthodontics, Dr. Mark Musgrave will conduct a thorough and honest clinical orthodontic examination and explain all aspects of treatment options to meet your personalized needs himself. Occasionally, we will take a panoramic radiograph (x-ray) to determine the status of developing teeth.

As a courtesy to you and your family dentist, we will always discuss the feasibility of braces or tooth straightening without charging a fee for the initial consultation. As a rule of thumb, we like to evaluate young patients after the 6-year molars erupt and the front permanent teeth just start to appear.
It's more important than ever to brush and floss regularly when you have braces, so the teeth and gums are healthy during orthodontic treatment. Patients who do not keep their teeth clean may require more frequent visits to the dentist for a professional cleaning. Adults who have a history of gum disease should also see a periodontist during orthodontic treatment.

This office goes above and beyond. They arranged my appointment the same day that I called, which was amazing right before a holiday weekend. The entire staff was kind, patient and pleasant. Dr Musgrave fixed my retainer issue brilliantly and even polished the edges of my teeth. I left that office feeling great. The kindness, attention to detail and quick scheduling was above and beyond. Best Orthodontist and staff around. Always feel cared for and treated amazing. Been seeing Dr. Musgrave for the last 10 years or so when needed since I had my braces. Recently, I had medical issue and Dr. Musgrave and his staff helped me through a difficult time. Working with Dr.Mark Musgrave and staff has been one of the best decisions Ive ever made. As an Adult I was nervous about getting braces but Dr.Musgrave and staff has made the transition very easy and smooth and have explained the entire process every step of the way.
