Bernie and his team have been my “local go to” for audio advice and equipment. I was able to demo several Krell products, being able to hear things in your own system is huge. Having passionate fellow audio geeks to provide recommendations and put up with the idiosyncrasies that at least this wanna be audiophile has is priceless. Another huge positive is the strong relationships Bernie and his team have with the companies / brands they represent. If you are into audio gear do yourself a favor and visit the Audio Store team!

The Audio Store has a healthy inventory of high end audio equipment for purchase and on display for demonstration. The downside is the visit has to be prearranged, so window-shopping is not happening (and that, for me, usually leads to impulse purchases). Other than that, the owner was able to accommodate my purchase (LS50 Wireless 2 from Kef)(which he had no notice with ten minutes before his next appointment). Thank you again. I appreciate and respect this store, its personnel and its selection of high performance audio equipment and I look forward to building a better system with their help

I have been dealing with Bernie from The Audio Store for over 25 years now and have always been very happy with his services. From my first set of high end speakers that I bought from him in the 90's to setting up my music server which I did this past year, Bernie has always been so helpful and informative. I have been a loyal customer since 1990. Besides being a great bunch of guys, Bernie and his staff are very knowledgeable and have always provided me with great customer service. Most of my home audio audio systems were purchased from The Audio Store. Just recently Bernie and Jon helped me in upgrading my main audio system and I could not be happier. Been a customer of The Audio Store since 1997. I am very picky about the sound of my audio and video equipment, getting good value and knowing I can call someone if I ever have an issue. On all three counts, the Audio Store always delivers. In addition, the owner Bernie is a fabulous human who has excellent relationships with the companies whose products he sells. He has put me in contact with reps from Krell, Meridian, Linn, Anthem, etc to quickly address issues that have come up – sometimes 10+ years after my initial purchase. I live hours away, but will gladly trek up to Hartford to visit

Purchased a surround sound system from them 10 years ago. Have had absolutely zero problems with it. Then picked up a Pro-Ject turntable 7 years ago during their anniversary clearance sale, again, no problems.
Also picked up some in-ceiling Paradigm P65 speakers, got a great deal during the small business Saturday sale in November.
Great product selection and prices for whatever your budget may be. These guys know what they're talking about. When the time comes to upgrade any components of my system, i'll be going back!

The best of the best; great customer service, unlimited knowledge and patient; I listened to so many different things, on various systems, on different days before purchasing the dream stereo. Their entry level is better than Best Buy Magnolia; stop and see Bernie before buying anything from anyone else.

So I never post on Yelp, but really felt I needed to here. Bernie did a great job setting me up for an entry level hifi system. He thoroughly explained my options given my budget without being pushy. Also called me a few days later to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. I feel good that a got a great setup and that I supported an excellent small business. I will definitely be coming back when it's time to upgrade.

I went to this store today looking to upgrade my stereo system. I spoke with Jon, who spent time with me explaining all that has changed in the pass 14 years since I purchased my last system. After an hour or so I decided to go with new speakers and an amp. I was able to take them home and just connected them up, very happy. Highly recommended
