The fitting process was incredible as I ended up with boots which fit very comfortably. Have purchased a few boots over the years and never had anyone take the effort as this shop did in asking questions and knowing how to make sure that the customer ends up with the right boot.

If we can't, we'll find someone who can. Our first goal isn't to get your money. Certainly, we want to make a living. Who doesn't? We won't do that at the expense of pushing you into the wrong gear in order to make a sale or clear out inventory. Our first goal is to make sure you leave our shop happy.

Our alpine touring rental skis are mounted with Salomon's outstanding Shift MNC Bindings; perfect for all of your uphill, alpine touring, A/T, or skinning adventures.
We're proud to offer the largest ski demo fleet in the Okemo area. We offer demos from Elan, Blizzard, Volkl, Salomon, Black Crows, and Head. Our demo skis are expertly maintained and ready to go when you are. Up to three demo purchases can be deducted from the purchase price of a new ski. When reserving online, please list your first, second, and third choices in the comment section.
Our season lease program is simple and straightforward. Each season we refresh our season lease fleet by purchasing new equipment and cycling out any equipment 3 seasons old or older. We begin outfitting season leases Labor Day Weekend, and we are first come first served with the newer equipment being passed out first.

I tried to exchange a helmet that didn’t fit my son properly. The man working there was rude and blatantly said I can’t take back worn items. I proceeded to tell him we got home with it and he tried it on with his gear he normally wears. He did not wear it out on the mountain or around town as he made it seem, he simply tried it on and it was too big. I wasn’t looking for a refund but merely an exchange so my son had a helmet that fit properly. He was rude and dismissive and I will honestly never spend another form of my hard earned money in his store! I find it funny that anyone can try

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful when making larger purchases. I have bought skis, boots, goggles and tons of other skiwear and other apparel, as well as participate in their unlimited waxing/sharpening for my skis and boards. Their selection is great (huge) and prices always fair. It's never a trip to Ludlow without stopping in to Tygart.

These guys are the best in town.
They have been outfitting our family for years. Our girls started off with seasonal rentals as little kids and they always took the time to properly fit them and give them new gear. In addition to the great service their dogs rock. We won't go anywhere else but Tygart.

Compelled to write a review because of the negative one that Cory posted below about his experience. I wasn't there & I don't know what happened, but your experience seems out of whack with what everyone else has written on this page. Maybe it's not as you feel it was from your side? maybe it was the end of the day and you really pushed things the wrong way? who knows? I know that the folks at Tygart have always gone out of their way to do the job and do it right. They have great gear, will always order stuff for you and go the extra mile.

Scheduled and received a boot fitting with Seth. He was extremely knowledgeable about all the products and recommended many boots based on fit, form and function. After trying a few on we narrowed down and I left confident that I'll thoroughly enjoy my purchase.. I'll be returning and 10/10 would recommend.

If you're from VT, you know Tygart is the best. The ski shop is very nice and the staff is very knowledgeable and approachable. They will go out of their way to make sure you're having fun and getting the best deal. They are also very safe when it comes to COVID which is extremely important. Overall great vibes and great service!

Great store, even better staff! They have always gotten me everything I needed and never once tried to b.s. me. On top of all that they always seem to have that part that no one else has in stock. I was very happy to see that even with covid they are still so friendly and so helpful. Save yourself the headache and go to tygart.

This shop and staff are a true gem for Ludlow! Extremely hard working crew who are all knowledgeable, friendly and dedicated to their craft. From paddle boards in the summer to absolutely any item you need for winter fun they have you covered.
We purchased boots and skis x3 this year and Charlie delivered for our family beyond measure. He knows his stuff and won't give up until he gets the fit right.

We've been skiing at Okemo for the last few years and have depended upon Tygarts for nearly everything. The owners, Patrick and Angie, are hands-on and willing to help with anything. We've purchased skis, boots, and lots of other gear here. We've also rented seasonal rentals for the kids for years. My kids love going into the store and playing with the colossal dogs as well. A nice extra. I highly recommend.

Disappointing service during my recent ski trip in Ludlow. The store was understaffed and the employees were clearly stressed. As a result the service lagged. It took 15 minutes of waiting for someone to help our party, and when they did they did it was underwhelming. Not the worst place ever but definitely not the first choice!

Worst experience ever! First time buying ski boots. I tried on one boot. The guy told me they should be tight and for me to walk around more at home. Went home and tried them both on the next day. Didn't fit. Went back to return them less than 24 hrs later with a receipt. The guy told me they have a no return policy. Store credit only. I was never told that, he said it says so on the bottom of the receipt. I asked to speak to a manager, guy got loud and said he was the owner. I said I would never spend $500 on a pair of ski boots if I knew that. If it was possible, I would be giving them

My wife and I showed up to Okemo on Saturday evening. She needed a 2 -day rental (just skis and poles). Tygard was open when we arrived around 7:30pm, so decided to just to care of it so we didn't have to deal with it in the morning. That night, everyone was very friendly, but there was only one guy working the rental counter- everyone else was doing other stuff, or nothing at all. There was a couple that arrived before us, so we had to wait about 20 minutes before being serviced. It's not the end of the world, but would have been nice if the guy moved a little faster, or someone

For friendly rental service, this spot is great. Just a short hop from the slopes, it's convenient and has a huge selection. The gear is pretty good and affordable, so it's a much better option than renting on the slope. The staff is friendly and quick, and willing to lend a helping hand. There's even a store dog.

Definitely the best ski shop in Ludlow! Went shop to shop looking for skis and this place had the best deals and the most knowledgeable staff. People who woke here clearly love to ski. Very up to date on latest technologies and with good selection of skis and gear. They customized my boots for me for free. Highly recommend and well located right at the base of Okemo. Great overall vibe.

Patrick and his team are the best. They take their time and really teach you the basics about all the gear to help you decide on the best fit. We (my wife and I) bought skis and bikes from Tygart's. Can't say enough about the exceptional service, reasonable prices, and laid back sales approach. Patrick will put you on the right skis or bike or any other gear --it's not just about making the most money. He spent hours fitting our bikes and making sure we were comfortable and sized appropriately. Same experience with our ski purchases last year. Can't wait for our next purchase
