Simmons Specific Chiropractic is a family-run chiropractic clinic. Our chiropractor, Dr. Steven Simmons, is involved with the Michigan Association of Chiropractors and the Palmer College of Chiropractic Presidents Club and enjoys helping with the Health Fair. When not providing compassionate chiropractic adjustments at our wellness clinic, Dr. Simmons enjoys spending time with his family.
We are glad you asked! You may have been to a chiropractor and thought, "It seems like they do the same thing to everyone and to me every time." Even if you have been to a chiropractor before, you probably haven't had special chiropractic, because most chiropractors don't practice it. So, what is "specific chiropractic?"
Adjustment refers to a specific, calculated adjustment to a specific vertebra. Chiropractic adjustment is an adjusting thrust done by hand applied to the vertebra, relieving pain sensation, discomfort, and spasms along the spinal column. The goal of chiropractic treatment is to get your body back to its normal, healthy state and enjoying being pain-free every single day.
Chiropractic care is surprisingly common for children of all ages with many different conditions. Research has shown that children as young as infants can benefit from gentle adjustments by a chiropractor. As your kids enjoy their childhood, they fall down, get hit, are injured in school sports, and even the birth process can warrant a chiropractic adjustment.

I felt as though diagnosing of my problem was not addressed. There was no treatment plan made. Insurance pre authorizations made no sense as I knew my costs before hand and they didn't line up.
Seemed knowledgeable however spoke very quickly I was not given the opportunity to ask questions.
I then got a second opinion elsewhere and they corrected all of these problems.

I had a pretty long term neck problem. Simmons mobilized it and the problem has been gone for 5+ years now. They do a great job. Also, my son had his hips /spine misaligned. He ran like an old man. The pediatrician diagnosed scoliosis. A orthopedic specialist said no, not scoliosis.. Simmons diagnosed it correctly and corrected the problem. It’s been 10 years he’s been trouble free

Love them!! So sweet and go above and beyond for their patients. I had some low back pain and they took care of it so quickly. I’ve never felt it again. I also come in if I ever have a headache and every time it goes away immediately!
