Community First Federal Credit Union was founded in Lakeview, Michigan in 1985. We opened our second branch in Howard City, Michigan in 2009. The third branch, located in Trufant, Michigan, opened in 2012. In 2018, we opened our fourth branch in Morley, Michigan. The success of Community First Federal Credit Union is driven by the wonderful communities that we serve.
We are a part of Xtend, a share branching network. This network allows our members to access their accounts at over 250 locations in 23 states. The majority of this network operates in the Midwest and New England areas. With CO-OP Financial Services network, our members have access to their accounts at over 5,000 share branch locations and nearly 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs worldwide.

Services
Community First Federal Credit Union strives to make a positive impact on the community. We have sponsored sports teams, donated to local charities, and volunteered in various community events. We have donated to various local charities including the home heating program though EightCAP, Inc. We give away water at Music in the Park during our sponsored act.
Stop into one of our four branches to open your membership. You will need your social security number, valid photo identification, and proof of address. Any person who lives, works, goes to school, volunteers, or worships in the township areas that we serve is eligible to join our credit union. They are also eligible if they have a Grandparent, Parent, Child, Grandchild, Sibling, or Spouse that is currently a member at Community First FCU. When you deposit $10.00 or more and sign a membership card, you become a member of our credit union.
We offer instant issue debit cards, allowing you to take home your debit card the same day from our main branch in Lakeview and also our Howard City Branch. EMV/Chip debit cards have started at CFFCU! With your Community First FCU card you can access your account for no surcharge at nearly 30,000 ATMs nationwide with the CO-OP ATM Network.
