Concha Audiology & Rehabilitation
ATTENTION: Please use extra caution when removing face masks. The removal of your face mask could cause your hearing aid to fall off and go missing. With gentle removal and being aware of each hearing aid, you can protect yourself from losing an aid. We are closely monitoring information from the CDC and American Academy of Audiology (AAA) regarding the global pandemic.

In an effort to keep our patients and employees safe, we are seeing patients on an appointment only basis. Please call your clinic to schedule an appointment. Due to these guidelines we are currently unable to accept walk-ins. We will be available by phone for troubleshooting hearing aids and for mailing batteries or any parts or supplies that may be needed.

Batteries provided FREE (60 days, 1 year, or 3 years depending on the technology level and whether the aids are purchased "unbundled" or "bundled").
New research recently released by multiple outlets such as CBS News, Forbes, Science Daily, Consumer Reports, Market Watch, and many more, are reporting the benefits of hearing aids and being fit as soon as possible. Properly treated hearing loss can lower your risk of things such as falls, depression, cognitive decline, memory issues, anxiety, and provide you with an overall better quality of life.
Hearing loss is one of the most common health problems in people over the age of 65, but it can occur in any age group. Do you ask people to repeat what they say? Do you often turn your ear toward a sound to hear it? Do you hear better when you're looking directly at someone's face? Do you find it hard to follow conversation when you're in a group of people?
The hearing aid may cut in and out, voices may start sounding fuzzy or distorted, you feel you need to turn the hearing aid up or the hearing aid may just die out. Some new hearing aids have a feature where the aid will beep at you to let you know that the batteries are getting low, and will need to be changed soon.
The ear is composed of three parts, the outer ear, the middle ear, and the inner ear. The outer ear consists of the pinna, the part you see on the side of the head, and the outer ear canal. Sound enters through the outer ear canal and strikes the ear drum, which is the outermost boundary of the middle ear.
