Recently visited and was seriously concerned by the optometrist there. After discussing my medical history, which includes a long standing and serious heart condition, he proceeded to inform me that he had special vitamins that I could get from him and if I took them for months it would cure my heart condition. Luckily I am an intelligent and well informed person and disregarded his unsolicited and unlicensed cardiology advice. It astounds me how incredibly dangerous this could be if a more vulnerable person were given such advice by someone without a medical degree and the 16 years of schooling

Had an eye exam by McManus, in his dingy office complete with nasty carpet, warped paneling and stained drop ceilings. He couldn't even manage a smile in his greeting.
The prescription he gave me after the exam made my vision worse than before. Also, I wanted transition lenses than go dark in the sun. They didnt make the glasses with the transitions but charged me for them anyway (an additional $120). I called many times to speak directly to McManus, but he was either busy or not in the office. He never returned my calls even though he knew about the problem with the glasses and that i wanted

I lost a nose piece on my prada eyeglasses that cost me a few bucks(treated myself because I really liked them) and was bummed thinking they were broken and I'd have to buy another pair. Called on a Saturday and was told to come on by, had my only pair of glasses fixed in minutes. They were just nose pieces but the gentleman who fixed them was awesome. Would definitely recommend

I never write reviews for anything but time and time again Winnipesaukee Eye has been so good to me. I started going to them years ago and I would sometimes run out of contacts before my next appointment and they would always provide me with a pair to get by. They are very knowledgeable, experienced and I feel very comfortable going to them for care.

Went for my exam and order glasses. Picked up glasses today and I can't read a sign across the room told well try them tomorrow. Already received 1 pair of glasses there that I couldn't wear and had to wait a year to get new ones. Also they are listed as providers for Essilor safety glasses, receptionist looked it up and told me no we dropped that because there is no way for us to make any money.

Very unprofessional! Had new glasses made August 2018. Took them back twice because I couldn't see out of them their response was "get used to them". Left for SC for the winter. Came back for my exam in September of this year and told them I still could see out of my $500 pair of glasses. Again... get used to them. And they weren't under warranty because it was past one year. Lab won't honor it. McManus owns the place. He should and could have handled this differently and made me a happy customer. C stands for customer. But nope. I picked up my unfixed glasses

The office space is a bit outdated, but that doesn't affect the quality of what I was there to do: get an eye exam and a new pair of glasses. On those fronts,I was completed satisfied. The doctor was professional and knowledgeable. His exam was thorough, and he took the time to listen and discuss my options. The staff in the eye glass center were very helpful, took the time to help me find frames I liked ( and I was very picky!) and discuss all my options. finally, my glasses were ready on time

Terrible.
Been a patient for a year.
Optician itself were professional enough for the short time I was there.
However, how the business is rubbed is ridiculous.
Too many patients so the wait time to see a doctor is WEEKS long and even longer at the waiting room. They’re always behind and you get left waiting on THEM when you’re the one on time.
Unprofessional to say the least.
Some (not all) secretaries can be rude as well.
If you’re on state insurance, don’t bother. They now have you on separate waiting list god knows how long!
Degrading.
I already found a new optician that got

Been using them for eye exams for over 10 years. Lost my last pair of glass and called for exams. I understand that they would be backed up and I would have to wait to be seen. I asked for my Prescription which they refused to give me being just 2 months past the 2 Year check up. Know I can’t see and they won’t even tell my what my prescription to get a par drive well waiting. So I will never be going back there again for any kind of eye tests. Bob in glasses place was great though great place to buy glasses. Bad place to be loyal for testings.

Been going here for a few years now. The eyeglass sales people are fabulous. The office itself- not so much. I was just informed of the appointment I made MONTHS ago and cleared it with my work is to be canceled! This is not the 1st they have done this to me. When asked what the next appointment would be to fit my schedule and times-was at the end of February! Nope not happening! I was put on a cancel list but I highly doubt I will get a call back. So I will use my prescription from last year and get a new pair of glasses that I desperately need and pray for the best! The stars are ONLY for the

I went here the first time a few days ago. When I first called for an appointment, they were so busy they said it would be a month. I asked to be put on the stand-by list in case someone cancelled an appointment.
BOOM, two days later I get a call and got in. The staff was super and I was examined by Dr. McManus.
I try to always test the professionals I deal with and do it on the New Patient form. It usually asks for an Emergency Contact person. I insert my wife's name, but in the "Relationship" box, I always put: She Who Must Be Obeyed
