I'm Taylor, the calligrapher, invitation designer, and artist behind MEB Calligraphy + Design Studio. I wanted to create signage and stationery that has a meaningful purpose. That each one is unique for each and every MEB couple! I wanted you to be able to keep the artwork from your invitations, and be able to transform your signs, so you'll be able to repurpose them in your home!

Looking back, I've been interested in paper, handwriting, and drawing for as long as I can remember! I was always the person responsible for the poster boards in school group projects. I remember taking trips to Paper Source to get all the paper, craft supplies, and little details for every project.

I had an amazing experience working with Taylor on two frosted acrylic signs! They came out absolutely beautiful! She is so professional, organized, and prompt. I kind of had an idea of what I wanted and sent over some pictures of designs I liked, and then I let her take it from there. I wanted to somehow incorporate a drawing of my husband's late father's Volkswagen Beetle into a memorial sign, and it came out so good! I am blown away by her talent. My husband and I worked with Taylor for our May 2021 wedding in Chicago. Taylor created multiple signs for our wedding including a large wood welcome sign, a smaller wood sign for our memorial table and two acrylic signs. Each piece was so beautiful and exactly what we envisioned! I wanted some of the signs to match the color of our bridesmaids dresses which were a bit of a tricky color to match. I sent Taylor a picture of the dresses and she was able to match the color perfectly.

I LOVED working with Taylor. I knew I wanted a special, custom wedding welcome sign because that is the first thing so many guests see. After looking at Taylor's amazing work on her website and instagram, I knew she could make something wonderful. She was awesome to work with and very flexible. She made multiple mock ups of the sign for me before creating the final product to make sure I'd be 100% happy with it. Her questions and input was very helpful as well. The final sign blew me away. Taylor’s work on my place cards and signage for my November 2020 wedding was more beautiful than anything I could’ve imagined, and became one of the most special details of the day! I contacted Taylor just two weeks before the wedding when I decided I wanted more personalized name cards that didn’t just say guests’ formal names but nicknames at well (seeing “mom” on my mom’s placecard in handwritten calligraphy was so special). I contacted Taylor to help with an event that we were hosting to fundraise for people experiencing homelessness. Taylor immediately responded and gave us nothing but quality work. I told her what the event was for and when we needed it and she executed with complete professionalism and creativity. She did so amazing and it was so great working with her.
