It is now a community hub, a market for locally-produced food and a destination eatery for people from far and wide. We offer a simple menu, with high quality breakfasts; lunches; order-ahead dinners; brunch on the weekends; and (soon!) Sunday community dinners. And of course, good coffee! PS: Everything can be made to go.
Services
The Peacham Caf is a community-supported enterprise. It is operated by a Manager who rents the space, and is owned and maintained for the benefit of the community by the Peacham Caf LLC. The LLC in turn is a subsidiary of Peacham Community Housing, a local non-profit provider of elderly housing. The LLC is run by a group of 7 community volunteers.
This is where we started. The building at the far right was called the Bus Barn, but it hadn't had any thing but old refrigerators in it for years. Before that it was the town Fire Station. We thought it could become a caf. This is almost the whole group. From left, Joe Alper, Barry Lawson, Betsy McKay, Susan McClellan, Dave Edwards, Charlie Byron, and Ruth Marceau.
Peacham has been without a daily market since the Bayley-Hazen Store in South Peacham closed about 12 years ago. A lot of residents have missed having a local place to go for coffee, food and conversation. This is especially important for our seniors. Renovating the old Union Store into a caf will give us back our community hub.

Everything is just absolutely amazing. I'm not really a salad person, but their salads are out of this world! And they were even able to make us some delicious vegan sandwiches. My parents who are big foodies were visiting and after spending 3 weeks eating at almost all the restaurants in the area, they couldn't stop raving about their meal here! Highly recommended! I love the little seating area upstairs too. Very comfortable and cozy.

Absolutely Wonderful!
I discovered this little café last year, summer of 2019, and it's been a gem to visit anytime I'm in the area! Even during COVID with the mask and distancing restrictions, the Peacham Café is welcoming, and a comfortable atmosphere to be in.
The espresso is especially good good, however, my go-to hear is the breakfast sandwich with added avocado and tomato, with a hot or iced Americano!
The staff is friendly, quick, and efficient with with orders, and the selection of pastries is always diverse, and delicious!
I hope you get the chance to enjoy this little collaborative

Great food nice people. My wife and I went searching for coffee while camping. Camping was a rain out, but coffee and breakfast were not! Had the breakfast sandwich with egg and cheese, very good and wife had veggie quiche equally excellent. Our Americano and Chai hit the spot. If back in area, will come again.

What is there to say. Its a delightful little coffee shop, with a welcoming hostess/cook. The muffins,, Oh my God .. the muffins .. did I mention the muffins? And the coffee? And the poster board with all the notes about lost dogs, cats, cows. And - if you have the chance, walk across the street and visit the library. So, there you have it. Coffee, interesting people, the poster board with a photo of a wandering cow, and the muffins .. Holy God, those muffins ..

Quite a find in one of the most picturesque villages in Vermont. We had croissant breakfast sandwiches with applewood smoked bacon, scrambled eggs, and Swiss cheese. Delicious. We eyed the tasty looking quiche of the day but had to pass. We're coffee snobs and our lattes were good, but not great (but probably best available for at least 25 miles).
The cafe itself is quaint and colonial both inside and out. And Peacham is incredibly quaint. You won't regret a stop at the village or this cafe!

A little cafe in the heart of a glorious Vermont village - despite it being after closing time they allowed us in and made us the most delicious toasted sandwich - we even tried to insist that they at least not heat the sandwich as everything had been turned off, bit no, they wouldn't hear of it. Great food and even friendlier service!

This is a really cute cafe in the heart of an idyllic Vermont village. The menu is limited and yes, the cafe is small, but the cafe setting is perfect and the staff is friendly, and the ambience is special. You don't come to a place like this and expect 30 different menu items. Just having a quaint cafe in Peacham, VT is special. I have been here a few times and the coffee is always great and I have found the quiche, turkey chowder, and side salads are very good. My only critique is that the food could have been heated up warmer but I also didn't fuss about it. As someone who has

Was looking forward to lunch in a fresh space, as our usual haunts were closed or further away. The cafe is a quaint little space, very bright and cheerful inside. The lunch special was a Reuben panini... Only a Reuben panini, with no side of any kind. While the iced tea the may have been fresh brewed, the lemonade was out of a carton... For two drinks and two "specials", I would have expected a little more as our bill was over $20. The menu overall was extremely streamlined, lacking in variety.
Staff was pleasant and cafe was cute and clean, but we will not be going back.

Was really looking forward to the new cafe and store. Very beautiful town and nice rehabbed store. But the staff is not very welcoming and the fresh baked goods are so so. Very small selection of both the baked goods and local foods which are located in one small refrigerated case. Expected much more. Needs better management. Perhaps it will improve as time goes on.
