To reduce the airborne droplet contamination concerns we have added over-the-patient suction filters to reduce aerosols produced during our routine removal of orthodontic cement (removing braces, loose braces, and Invisalign attachments). New air scrubbers have been added with a combination of HEPA filters, carbon filters, and UV filters to scrub the air throughout the office every 15 minutes.
Our team will will be wearing face shields and respirator masks, but the same great smiles! To limit the number of in-office visits we continue to utilize "virtual visits." These can be as simple as sending us photographs, to using Zoom to interact in a video chat. These virtual visits have been very helpful over the past eight weeks to keep in contact with our patients and team members and we plan on refining this process as we move forward.

All orthodontists must be licensed to practice, but at this time only one in three orthodontists have continued on to complete Board Certification. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) certification process signifies a unique achievement-a significant step beyond the two to three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics.
The dream of healthy teeth and a perfect smile is becoming a reality to more and more people every day. Did you know that the number of adults and children taking advantage of orthodontic treatment to improve their dental health and give their self-esteem a boost has more than doubled since 1984?! Traditional braces are the most commonly accepted treatment for malocclusion (bad bite).
You can have the straight, stunning smile you have always dreamed of-and you don't need to get braces to have it. Invisalign is a braces alternative that delivers incredible results while offering you, the patient, plenty of benefits. Schedule a complimentary consultation with Dr. Halgren to find out if you are a candidate for becoming one of our Invisalign patients.

One of the unexpected down sides of being in my sixties turned out to be that I began to bite my lip regularly several times per week. My lower teeth were crowded to the front and so crooked that I looked like the old man at the beginning of Aladdin. When my dentist suggested that braces could correct this is I was skeptical.
Later, after my initial visit to Dr. Halgren, when he explained that the plan would be to pull a front tooth and use Invisalign braces to move everything over and fill the resulting gap I was astounded as well as skeptical.
At the beginning of this month I had my last appointment
