My experience with Pronto Rides to and from the airport, was excellent. The driver Yassir was professional, polite and helpful. He worked with me since I dislike cell phones. I had given him my arrival details in writing and he took it from there. Finding me waiting at the curb, he came up to me to help with baggage. A very good driver with superb navigation skills, he located my place easily. I recommend Pronto Rides happily to one and all.

I called this place to reserve a ride the night before a projected transportation need. I was told that I just needed to call 30-45 minutes in advance and I would be covered. The next morning at the appointed time, my disabled uncle, for whom the ride was scheduled, called to tell me that no cabs were available. I called the office to relate the content of my conversation with the night before. I was informed by the person answering that I would have had to reserved my ride over six hours in advance and that they had no cabs available. I informed said person of my discussion of the night before

I booked pronto rides online several days before we arrived in Austin for a wedding. We needed to book multiple trips for 8-16 people. The cost and booking process was reasonable and easy. All vans showed up on time (to the minute!) and drivers were reliable, professional, and drove safely. One bus even had a speaker and microphone available to let us karaoke on the way home from our event... while I can imagine this was not relaxing for the driver, it was a big added plus for our group. I would definitely use them again if needing a car service in Austin.

Booked online the night before and was excited that it was so easy to set up and hopeful that all would go well. However, after waiting for 15 minutes in the rain called to find out that they would not be sending anyone out to pick us up because of the rain! Whoever heard of a taxi service that didn't run in the rain? And whoever heard of a company that wouldn't call a customer to let them know that they wouldn't be sends someone out!? Don't use this taxi service unless you enjoy getting stuck in the rain!

Ash was so great. Such a nice family man. Picked me up 15 min before scheduled, and when you’re nervous about a driver showing up, that’s a really great thing! If you have little kids, there are 2 car seats!!! All around, a great experience. Thank you, and I’ll be relying on you again!!! Nicely done. Reading another review, I only know about my experience with Ash, who has not one, but Two baby seats. If you need them, perhaps request a driver whose vehicle is equipped with a car seat when you book your ride. It’s crazy to think all cars have baby seats.

I ordered a ride from Pronto ahead of my early morning flight three days hence. They texted me that NEXT morning saying they were there for my ride. I slept through the message, only to see it in the morning. Not trusting their reliability, I cancelled the ride and requested a refund. They agreed to refund me, but it was NEVER refunded!!!! I called multiple times to get a refund only to get "lip service" with a "it will be in your account today", well, Its been a month and they still have not refunded my money. Now, I have to contact my attorney to send a letter of intent to sue...Its the principle

We used Pronto rides for a trip to and from the airport. We needed a car service that provided car seats, which is why we went with Pronto. Overall, the fact that this company markets itself as providing car seat services is shocking considering the quality of the car seats available and disregard for child safety.
On our ride to the airport the car seat looked like an old bucket seat from the 80s, I can not imagine this is up to today’s standards. It was 4 in the morning and didn’t really have another option so we went with it. The driver was on time and kind.

Booking online was very easy. The rate is reasonable and you can choose to prepay or pay with credit card during your trip. No extra fees or charges. The driver texted a few hours before the scheduled time to connect with us and confirm the time, and he arrived early. The minivan we ordered was very clean and the driver was courteous and masked. We let them know in advance that we needed to use our own car seat (we had to bring it to our destination) and it was no problem. Two adults, a toddler, three suitcases, a car seat and a stroller to the airport for $50 (with generous tip). We will use pronto

Great experience coming from airport. Was about $30, or 35% more than Uber which I would expect for having car seat. Car was clean.
However, we took downtown for dinner with friends, about half the mileage and they changed same price. Guy said it was flat $20 extra for car seat one way which doesn't really make sense. The car seat they had couldn't have been more than. $100 car seat to buy new and was on lower end of safety rating. Would recommend for airport but nothing else

Decided to use Pronto because it advertised that Baby and toddler car seats were available, figured it would be easier than long term parking and shuttling my 91 year old mother, my daughter and two granddaughters, ages 4 and 9 months. For the 5 am pick up, the driver was friendly and on time. The issues were that neither car seat was installed correctly and the car had transmission problems. We did 35-40 mph on 35! Never felt safe!
Fast forward one week and the pick up for the ride back home. No phone number for the driver, gave us some anxious moments, since there was no way to get in touch

Came late, poor communication, seemed very disorganized.
No communication prior to my travel date. I had to call them to confirm that they indeed were coming.
The day of departure I received a text that the car was on its way and watched on their tracking tool as the car approached and then suddenly went elsewhere. It then took a long time and multiple calls to get another car to arrive.
I was about to cancel the whole thing and drive myself to the airport when the car finally arrived. I was not please to find that it was just a typical taxi that I could have just booked directly

Schedule AM pickup online, a ride to airport.
Got two conformations via email and text.
Called them when they didn't show up, and was put on hold.
After 5 minutes on hold, I called Metro to get me to airport.
Guy at Pronto calls back later to say, they are booked up and tried to call me yesterday. I have no phone record of missed call.
About a minute after I called Metro, two drivers from Metro called me to help. One got there under 8 minutes. Great service at Metro.
Pronto not recommended.

We really like that all drivers have to meet higher standards and qualifications than other driving services.
A couple of complaints / things of which to be aware:
1) Driver and car information never appeared or updated in the Pronto Rides account that is provided. Not a big deal, since they send texts the morning of the pickup. But, I don't understand why the account needs to be created if it won't include this information.
2) Driver cut in front of a long line of cards at the airport drop

This is probably the most reliable ride service I've used so far, and I have used almost all of them i.e Uber, Lyft, ride austin, yellow cab etc. I travel practically every week and sometimes twice weekly, and Pronto Rides have always been on time waiting for me at my door step at requested time. These guys have made it so easy & simple to book a ride with their online booking. I get a fixed price ( pretty comparable to Uber or Lyft and definitely cheaper than cab companies). I don't even bother to check their confirmation email as I know they'll be there. Thanks a lot Pronto

Tldr: my driver was 40 minutes late. I would not rely on this service for a ride to the airport or an important appointment.
I am visiting from China and was initially excited to find pronto rides and thought this could be a great solution for my transportation needs while in town. Boy, was I wrong. I was also hoping to use this service for my ride to the airport, but they proved to be too unreliable.
I arranged my driver two days in advance to pick me up at 9:00 a.m. At 8:54 I went out to wait on the porch. By 9:15 there is no sign of Pronto Rides so I called to see what was up. The dispatcher

Like government or birth control, it's great when it works. Used twice in the past for early morning airport runs, nice cars and drivers and on time arrival. But my last time was, well, my last time. Booked for 5am the night before, got a text at 4:48am saying "5 minute delay" followed by a call at 4:58 in which the caller said "uh, I'm going to be late, what time is your flight?" I answered his question with one of my own, "what time will you be here?" His response: "uhhh, five or ten or fifteen minutes or so."

I just walked to work in the rain because nobody bothered to show up. I called 6 times waiting and got a voicemail. They conveniently called after I had already walked all the way to work in the rain and tried to give some excuse about calling me but I have zero voicemails and zero missed calls. Very unreliable! I would not use this service if you need to get anywhere important.

Following the Uber and Lyft exit, I've had terrible luck getting cabs to show up for early morning drop offs at the airport. They simply don't show, or show up super late which is not ideal.
I've used this service twice and both times got exceptional drivers who had took great pride in the condition of their vehicles (very clean) and professionalism. I will continue to use this service in the future!
